Not bhed, good soize!

I’m yet to be convinced that Perkins will make it. He has played 80 games & yet only a few have been of note.

He has great skills but poor mental application in my mind. His efforts to chase defensively are often weak at best, yet he can burst from a contest indicating pure speed isn’t an issue.

I hope I’m wrong but I worry that he is player just happy to be playing rather than desperate which is what the champion teams have. My fingers are crossed that he wakes up & starts using that talent he has.

I think this has been the message for all the players this pre season pretty much what Baraham was getting at in his speech at the b&f

No idea how it took so long for him to be dropped this year, but Brad does have form in this area.

Round one proved that there’s a player inside of that torso. It’s either being suppressed by a game plan, or suppressed by the brain sitting just above the torso.

Remember how bad Langford was for so many years, then it all clicked.
Here’s hoping it clicks for Archie this year

Was he though?

Even early on in his career he looked really comfortable in the forward line. Then he got pegged as a Jobe replacement which wasn’t really his go, had a really good season on the wing in 2020, had some injuries, and has now locked down a main forward role.

Langford was never terrible

Archie has the weapons, just needs to start stringing it together

I absolutely remember Langford being written off in 2019, particularly after interchange gate.

Line in the sand year for this fellow.

Hope he got the message after being dropped in 2024.

Sure, but lots of players get written off.

I don’t think Langford was ever that bad. He was played out of position a fair bit but when put in spots he could play, he’s always looked at least a solid footballer.

There’s written off then there’s blitz written off. If you haven’t won the Brownlow in your first year see ya later

So Draft Picks #62 and #79 - the best two players in the 2000 GF.

Arguably should have been the Norm Smith Medallist that day but may have missed out because of a famous name.

Blumfield was about the best overhead mark for his size I’ve ever seen, not just at Essendon.

There would be others if I could be bothered trawling my memory, but he was remarkable.

I reckon Perkins is a very good overhead mark however. One of the best on our list. He has a few real genuine weapons, but not sure if he will put it all together.

Agree. That’s why he needs to play HFF.
Forget the midfield experiment. We have plenty of those.

Wonderful mark, but blumfield played almost like a key position his hands were so good
