#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins

Let’s not trade one of the only blokes on the list that can kick a ■■■■■■■ ball please.

Me too, but still on my watch list. One half is nothing to what he has given away fora long time…

Happy to stand up here. He is a great kick/

Deeper he plays the better he looks

Would instill a lot of confidence in the fanbase and himself if he’s fairly involved in this second half…

Seriously, does not even pretend to look for the player on the lead when in distance… Jakie Stinger-esk.

Glass half full for Archie tonight …
3.1 from 15 touches at i0%% and a couple of tackles.
Should’ve been 4 goals at the end there, but hey ho.

He just needs to get to the contest and dispose in close way quicker and he’d be infinitely more effective down there.

Keep building.

I went the early crow. Though he might have a second half in him… but nope. Disappeared. That is the Perkins we know.

It’s the hardest part with him looks like he could be Dustin Martin then goes missing for long stretches

To be fair our midfield totally ■■■■ the bed from halfway through the second. Hard being a forward in this team.

Perk was him.

Then went missing.

Then had a chance to be him at the end…and blew it.

That was because of what our midfield dished up.

He needs service and got none.

Mate, he basically set up our win.

Played the exact game I expected. 15-20 touches, but was extremely damaging.

As if you don’t take 2-3 goals a week from Perkins. Playing his role well.

Hagiography is in a different thread.

Was good. Great first half. Then Brad decided to put in the middle and his impact fell away. Brad Scott is a bellend of a coach. Why touch something that is clearly working?

Blistering first half

Hard for any forward to keep up such output over course of game, but good on him for what he did show

Shame he couldn’t nail that goal late to ice the game

Dude can kick a football.

Ony Wright can kick the 3 goals he kicked from those spot… no one else is capable to do that, and even Wright couldn’t do that today.

No Perko today, we lose.

Just stick him deep forward with a tall and a small, he just gets lost up the field.

And to be fair to him, he really wouldn’t know as he has never had a chance to develop his midfield skills. He didn’t get any in his draft year because of COVID and he hasn’t gotten any at Essendon because he has been a walk up start in our horrible forward line over the past 5 years. He’s then been asked to develop his midfield craft in the AFL against veterans.

Seems to pop up for one quarter a game. The quarters are elite but we need more consistency as we have seen what he can offer.
