Ye if you look at 2019 almost every mid who averages a goal a game spends a lot of time playing as a forward too.
Ablett, Martin, Gray, Ebert, Dangerfield, Mccluggage, Petracca and Coniglio.
So Geelong, Richmond, Port Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and GWS. 6 out of 18 teams have these players and none of them are full time mids. So most teams definitely dont have a one goal a game mid!

I’d love to see him come in as a mid. Seeing him as a forward does nothing for me. Would rather he play mid in the VFL.
Have to kick da goals to be a good mid.
How about mid who are involved in scoring chains. Which mid tops this chart in the afl, or player in general for that matter.
Players who break into space, or deliver under pressure. Players who can hit targets and make good decisions. Who gives a toss who kicks the goals.

“Perkins played midfield mainly. He won a lot of his own ball and got tagged after half-time, but still found lots of the ball in the second half. He made good decisions, was very explosive and similar to last week, has fitted in very well to the way we want to play. We’ve just got to get the balance right of playing him forward and in midfield.”

Play Perkins next week and take Sheil out of the midfield and put him on a wing.
Let him debut against St Kilda, at home.
Don’t debut him in a belting against Port.
