Two year deal.
With a trigger clause
The competition is on a knifes edge
I think we’ll put in behind the ball, will be suited to shutting down one of Ginnivan, Watson or Moore
Please Goldstein, Im begging you, toss it in.
Leave.
There is no way in hell Brad Scott can resist playing a juicy older bloke. Big Goldy knows this.
For an additional 3-5 years.
How about we get some ex players that actually had success as specialist coaches? I liked when we had Rance
I suspect we don’t have the football department salary spend under control.
We shifted Blake Caracalla from an assistant coach. Proven as an assistant at multiple other clubs. And shifted him to VFL coach and now he’s returned to one of his ex-employers.
On ground training (either at VFL or AFL) has its value.
No other club would put Goldy on their list for next year, fk Brad and the club if they continue with him next year, it’s decisions like this that makes us the basket case we are today.
What are we thinking? Goldy is as cooked as my dear old Pop who has been sitting in an urn for the last 13 years
your pop must be pretty small to be sitting in an urn
He’s finished at essendon
I hope you’re right, but he hasn’t retired or been delisted yet. It’s looking increasingly likely that he’ll go around again in 2025, which is questionable, to put it mildly.
The fact that we could have Goldstein AND Weideman on the list next year is just mind-boggling. One would be bad, both of them would be massively dispiriting. Unfortunately for us, with Brad Scott in charge very stupid decisions have become routine.
Someone make it stop.
Goldy and Weed are ahead of Cox and Jones for starting wingers, IMO.
“Yeah look, I’m really enjoying the freedom of this new role on the wing, I feel like Brad’s given me a new lease of life, and hopefully can keep this up for another couple of years….”
‘His form took a bit of a dip this year but we really need to pump games into Goldy to assist with the next phase of his development.’
- Brad Scott, probably.
