Senior Coach John Worsfold takes us through the team to face Hawthorn at Marvel on Friday night.

Essendon has made three changes to its side for the Friday night blockbuster against Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium.

The team will be boosted by the inclusion of three experiences stars, with forward Orazio Fantasia, midfielder Dylan Shiel and versatile Bomber Jake Stringer all returning from injury.

Key-position Don Aaron Francis, small forward Mark Baguley and defender Ben McNiece have been omitted to make way for the trio.

B – Patrick Ambrose, Michael Hurley, Andrew McGrath
HB – Conor McKenna, Cale Hooker, Adam Saad
C – Mason Redman, Zach Merrett, Kyle Langford
HF – David Zaharakis, Jayden Laverde, Matt Guelfi
F – Darcy Parish, Shaun McKernan, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti
R – Tom Bellchambers, Dylan Shiel, Dyson Heppell
Interchange – Orazio Fantasia, Jake Stringer, Dylan Clarke, Josh Begley
Emergencies – Aaron Francis, Mark Baguley, Zac Clarke, Ben McNiece

IN – Fantasia, Stringer, Shiel
OUT – Francis, Baguley, McNiece (all omitted)

That’s a handy trio of inclusions

Fair enough i suppose. Let’s hope the 3 ins are fully fit

Happy with that. Strong team. Lets hope Fanta lasts the game.

Shiel, Raz and Stringer in…

What’s our winning percentage without Bags?

They named macevoy! Wtf?

Great changes :ok_hand:

I think these are the exact changes you called for? It’s a very good side.

Hawks injury report had him available next week.

Playing mind games?

Love those changes. It’s time to make hawks our bit5h for the next decade.

Worpel is pretty handy for them.

I was expecting to need his “because fark you, that’s why” image for Clarke being dropped.

Begley must be hanging on by the slimest of threads.

Swap him for a match fit Mitch Brown and you have the strongest side Essendon can manage for the rest of the year.

I’m pretty happy with the changes. McGrath named in defence, to me that’s where he plays his best footy. That back six looks so solid. Bad luck for Francis but he has to usurp Ambrose to get a look-in and Paddy has been pretty reliable down there. Laverde to play a lead-up forward role, I like that. Stringer, Shiel, Raz in. No excuses to not win tomorrow night. Massive game!

Gotta be happy Blitz! Sad to drop Francis but I can see that team balance required it. We can win this!!

Love to see Mason on the wing all game.
And McGrath back is just fine with me.

Both Fisher and Meredith named for our game - ■■■■.
