Come the end of trade week, we need pick 5 regardless of what we package up with Carlisle. It’s not fair that we have to send anything at all with Carlisle for that pick, but it needs to happen. 4 and 5 if done right completely ends all concerns about the sanctions.

I wouldn’t draft Curnow personally, I don’t think we need another 190-192 forward, we need someone taller. If Melbourne take Parish at 3 I’d go either Francis or Milera and Weideman. If they take Weideman, Parish and Francis.
Brisbane won’t get that compo so we should get 4. Not sure he’ll fall that far. Wouldn’t be surprised if he goes before Francis at 3

Francis is from SA?Absolute myth. The majority of SA guys that head to Victoria dont ever come back. SA players are happy to go anywhere, the few that have returned in recent years are from Brisbane and it was the basket case club that drove them out not the location. You will find most just want to play at the highest level and are very loyalNot keen on seeing us spend a top 4 pick on a bloke who will be looking to go home in 2 years time…
That and they would have to live in South Australia again.
