Shiel had his head over the ball which is by far the most dangerous position you can put yourself in, in footy. He got hit in the head and didnt play after halftime.
Ellis chose to bump and hit him clearly in the face.
I can honestly see them letting cotchin off but giving ellis a week just to say " look we punished one richmond guy"
If the MRP were legit they would suspend both of them. They constantly say you cant bump guys in the head- welll they did so they should be suspended
But thats enough of my fantasy post.

Cotchin will get a week, Richmond will take it to the supreme court and get an injunction, Cotchin will play in the GF.

Cotchin call will be 50-50. If anything helps him, it will be the fact that the GWS doctors allowed Shiel to play the rest of the quarter. He probably suffered more knocks which resulted in the concussion.
If he’s fined, its a huge loss. He’s changed his game this year and has stopped getting the cheap touches and gets a lot more contested footy. He was great yesterday. He’s probably had a better year than 2012 and has become the type of captain we need Heppell to be IMO.

Huh? The Court will not grant an injunction unless something truly weird happens — the basis of that decision was solely the lack of any appeal option.

Iirc the hall one swung at the tribunal on how the ratings came out based on whether the hit was in play or behind play. They convinced the tribunal it was in play and got it downgraded to a fine. If it wasn’t in play he was gone

Violins are out for cotchin on 7 but he clearly chose to bump and should be suspended considering his priors. Same with ellis? who bumped whitfield.

so I have 10 of ours & 12 tigers - but it could easily be 50/50 with tippa in and bellch at his best is better than nanker.
I think grimes, vlaustin & ellis are all really good players.
But I agree with the initial point that tigers’ list is not fantastic and the coaching staff deserve credit for getting the best out of it (which should be 2nd and another one year wonder team like port in 2007).
