The mighty Nigel
I thought he was being groomed as a HBFer?
If Geelong get Cameron maybe we take Josh Jenkins as a stop gap forward for a year.
Smack couldnât get a game at Adelaide and was good for us . No reason Wright canât be the same. Henry crauford could be another Draper but as a forward. Lot to like before he got injured .
How old is Josh J?

The bulldogs big footy trade thread is currently going on a long rambling of Dunkley and talking about Tippa and whether he is good or not.
A leaked email has revealed how the AFL determines its compensation picks for departed free agency, the memo delivering a warning clubs not to expect bumper dividends from their departed stars.

The AFL has warned clubs they should not expect to be fully compensated for the departure of their superstar free agents.
In an email seen by the Herald Sun, the league has made clear clubs should not expect entirely equivalent returns for any player which exercises their free agency rights after eight yearsâ service.
The document also details how the AFL determines the compensation picks based on free agentsâ new salaries and their age.

However, there is an âexpert committeeâ which reviews all pick outcomes and can recommend changes to the leagueâs general counsel in the event of an âanomalous resultâ.
Greater Western Sydney is slated to receive pick No.10 as compensation for Jeremy Cameronâs move to Geelong â if they do not match the Cats bid under the free agency model â but the Giants are determined to force a trade to secure a more attractive outcome.
Likewise Essendon (Joe Daniher) and Adelaide (Brad Crouch) want first-round compensation picks for their departing stars, but may have to settle for end-of-first round selection picks.
Crouchâs new salary at St Kilda will be significantly less than $700,000 a year, it was confirmed on Thursday.
But the AFL told clubs this week they should not expect bumper compensation pick returns for free agents.
The AFL memo said the compensation formula was âNOT DESIGNED to fully compensate a club for the loss of a playerâ.
Instead, the league advised the picks were designed to âreflect the relative values of various players to one anotherâ after eight or more years of service to one club.
The scene is set for tense talks between clubs as the Cats have no plans to give up any of their three first-round picks to GWS in a trade.

Catsâ pair Esava Ratugolea and Brandan Parfitt are also off the trade table, their managers have confirmed.
In the AFL document, the league detailed the five bands which determine the compensation picks, based on the âage of playerâ and their âaverage guaranteed payments â base plus ASA (additional service agreements)â.
Players must be in the top-five per cent of earners for their age bracket to trigger first-round compensation.
Top 15 per cent of the pay scale triggers an end-of-first-round pick. Top 30 per cent is a second-round selection.
Top 50 per cent is an end-of-second-round pick. Top 70 per cent is third-round.
this is saying a lot, but I find this to be the most offensive thing youâve ever posted

North Melbourne is keen to secure a mid-20s draft pick in exchange for Ben Brown, who has strong interest from three clubs including Melbourne.
The Demons were impressed by Brown in an interview and believed he could ease into a forward line alongside Luke Jackson and Sam Weideman, but have a limit on the offer they can hand him.
It means if Brown is looking for the significant $700,000-plus contract that North Melbourne had at one stage offered him before pulling that offer he will have to look elsewhere.
The Demons will lose mid-sized forward Mitch Hannan to the Western Bulldogs, after their two-year offer was trumped by a three-year deal.

They will retain contracted small defender Neville Jetta, with Collingwood adamant they will not lodge a trade offer for the out-of-favour defender.
If a rival took Tom McDonald off Melbourneâs hands despite a significant contract with two years to run, the club might have more freedom to offer Brown a bigger deal.
But at this stage neither party has committed to each other, with Melbourneâs expectation that he will also speak to other clubs, including Fremantle and Essendon.
The Roos are happy to trade Shaun Higgins to the Cats for family considerations but only if they can secure reasonable compensation from Geelong.

The Cats will bring in Higgins to play a similar role to Gary Ablett at the same age, and were prepared to exchange their No.19 pick for Gold Coastâs No.24 pick and swap a future second-rounder for a future fourth-rounder.
Higgins remains a dynamic half forward so the Roos will be keen to improve their draft order or secure a late second-round pick for the 32-year-old.
FANTASIA SET FOR POWER MOVE
Orazio Fantasiaâs inevitable move back to South Australia will see him request a trade to Port Adelaide rather than their cross-town rival Adelaide.
Fantasia had toured the Adelaide facilities last weekend but the Power have made no secret of their desire to secure the injury-prone forward.
They believe if he can regain some durability it will release young stars Connor Rozee and Zac Butters to gain more midfield time.

The Power have forgiven him after his aborted trade last year, which saw them questioning why he would go so far down the road before pledging his loyalty to the Dons.
Essendon long ago lost hope that he would remain given his South Australian links.
They had pushed him to half-back in desperation to get some more run from defence this year.
But Fantasia was also keen to leavebecause he felt the Bombers did not properly handle his long list of injuries.
Zach Merrett and Devon Smith have confirmed to the Dons they will remain at the club next year to honour their contracts.
WILL CATâS UNLIKELY COMEBACK CONTINUE?
Geelong is keen for this yearâs defensive revelation Lachie Henderson to continue his career in one of footyâs most unlikely comebacks.
Henderson was delisted by the Cats last year until Ryan Abbott moved on to St Kilda, creating space for the club to hand him a footy lifeline.
Abbott was delisted by St Kilda only days ago, while Henderson will likely take on triple Coleman Medallist Jack Riewoldt in the Grand Final on Saturday night.
The Herald Sun understands the Cats have been keen to find out whether he is open to playing on into 2021 and Henderson, still only 30, wants to continue.

An official decision still awaits post-Grand Final but it seems likely ex-Blue Henderson will remain on the list given his stellar performances.
He was one of the few Cats to hold their head high in the qualifying final loss to Port Adelaide with 113 ranking points, six intercept possessions and three intercept marks.
Then he repeated the dose against Collingwood and again against Brisbane as the Lions key forwards were shut out.

His three finals amassing 113, 94 and 101 ranking points have been his best performances of the season after 13 games since getting back into the team in Round 8.
He has also remained injury-free after a spate of issues including a knee injury seemed to have cut him down after stints at Brisbane and Carlton.
He told the Herald Sun this week he would wait until the end of the year to see what his future held.
â(A premiership) would mean everything. Itâs everything you play for. Itâs my 13th year and I havenât had a chance at it in 13 years,â he said.
âIf it is the end it would be a great culmination to the 13 years and itâd just feel like youâve achieved what you set out for all those years ago.
âIt would just make everything feel complete, I suppose.â
The Cats will recontract Rhys Stanley and Zach Tuohy, with a decision ahead on Harry Taylor. Gary Ablett to retire after Saturday night.
But Fantasia was also keen to leavebecause he felt the Bombers did not properly handle his long list of injuries.

Iâm sure Fantasia has been totally blameless for his injury concerns. Didnât he miss 3 weeks of footy with a flu a year or so ago?
Merrett and Smith saying theyâll âhonour their contractsâ isnât really a strong commitment to the club though. Yikes.
Whatâs the second?
Available as a delisted free agent. 29 years old. Lots of debates in '06 about whether to pick up him or Gumby. Now have a chance to complete the set.

I havenât watched much of the dogs games at all. Is Dunkley- would we be overpaying by giving up a first rounder for him or is he worth it?
Heâs worth at least a first round pick and moreâŚand would be our best midfielder immediately âŚfuture leader too âŚI really hope we get him
Me too. Heâs an absolute gun and only 23. If we pull it off, he would be our best trade for a very long time. Would exceed any of the recent trades IMO.
