2020 trade spec part 3

Definitely, also looks like a sweet package with Anzac Day and Spongy floors.

How does this carrotsalad get so many likes? The most likes Ive ever got for a post is like 15. It’s not fair I tell you.

Yesterday you said your job is to keep our spirits up. This is one weird attempt to do it.

He won’t be missed.

But that mentality sux! What are players suppose to do? Put the guernsey on, strap up the tape & the boots just to say well boys we ain’t winning this one today cos were not making finals for a few years.

It’s actually getting old. That’s all he has to offer

We are right back into finals contention

If your dogs and it’s in Treloar out Dunkley are they better off?
also add in potential extra draft pick/s

Dunkley suits us, but is treloar a better fit for them?

Yes they are IMO. Balance of midfield will be better + a high pick

Until Libba breaks down or has a brain fade off field - both likely

Treloar is 5yrs older however. So they need to maximise the now, but obviously can use the high pick to find another player also.

Cos you would never end up with a Jimmy Toumpas. I reckon the top 10 has got a lot better than back in the early days when development wasn’t nearly so monitored. But you go back far enough to see who’s settled in and it’s still about 50% hit rate after 6-8 years if having a player who would command a pick in the top 10 if you wanted to trade them now. There’s plenty of solid citizens, but no-one’s paying top 10 for a Billings for instance.

Would anyone trade a top 10 for Francis? Didn’t think so.

And the next couple of years are likely to be veiled by COVID limitations on development footy and be far less reliable, more like back in the day.

No.

That’s great for us. It gives us a chance of getting Dunkley and only having to give up 1 pick to do it

Trealor is a very good player. I’m shocked the Magpies have burnt him. But Buckley knows how to do a clean out.

I think they realised that 900k for Treloar at age 32 in 2025 is likely going to be a disaster considering his recent injuries.

We need to get Buckley to Essendon.

It’ll be interesting how this ends up considering Treloar’s trade value has taken a hit. You’d think given he has been forced out and has a massive contract attached that the Pies shouldn’t expect more than a late 1st.

If we provide them that late 1st for Treloar, I wonder if we could contribute $$ to his contract in lieu of the extra pick.

It’s because he was born a vegetable so we feel sorry for him.
His best mate @theTurnip has so many likes we lost count.

Dont shoot me down but i am a little surprised Darcy Parish name is not being floated around with the two Mid guys Essendon are trying to get in. I understand you have to get them first. However you could possibly get a 1st round Geelong late pick for him and get a deal done. I am just not sure i see a clear mid role for Parish if Caldwell and Dunkley come in.

He would be behind Shiel, Merrett, McGrath, Dunkley… possibly Langford, Hepps and Smith if they still play as mids. Caldwell would be neck and neck.

I reckon Geelong will pursue him next year. Especially with Selwood gone.

I don’t see Hep in a 2021 midfield
