2021 trade spec (Part 4)

I would go for a tall developing mid or silky wingman.

Cox?

The club is looking to trade a future first for a 2021 first. Creates a block of talent coming through together instead of drip feeding them onto the list.

I doubt anyone will offload their first this year, so unlikely to happen.

As in Mason? Definitely not. We’ve plenty of talls needing opportunities and very few free list spots. Plus Cox is a spud.

So you know for a fact it was us chasing Hill? Highly doubt it.
Just because we are interested in a player who wants to come to Victoria is not indicating any change in strategy.

Generally, Small forwsrds are the final icing on the cake when you are rebuilding.

Cyril Rioli or Daniel Rioli etc they brought them in with late first rounders, after team was built around Buddy, Roughy, Hodge or Riewoldt, Rance, Martin etc and the remaining parts were set.

What is North and Hawthorn doing being in for Bobby Hill now. One team started the rebuild last year, the other yet to start. Lol.

For us, we have lots of talent in place, it makes sense for list management.

His stats are pretty similar to Izak Rankines. Same draft.

Same story with my cousin Alec, loved Bob the builder and the name stuck

I prefer Ian Incline

Hill is far from a guaranteed successful AFL player. He does fill a positional need, though. Worth a look, but not at any cost. Next few days will be interesting if it’s McCartney arguing with Dodoro yet again, ffs.

Not sure I’d call pick 12 for Cyril a late first rounder.

That’s good news then. I was under the impression GWS didn’t know this was coming until his manager told them and weren’t planning for him to leave.

The release from GWS about Hill being a ‘required player’ is a bit have your cake and eat it too/effort to retain trade value

I wouldn’t be offering up any more than a third for hill

If Truck and Cara want Hill then I’m not fussed what we end up paying.

I don’t think McCartney will roll over to his ole mate Dodoro.
They’ll duke this one out and I think it’ll probably be our future second.
Would love it to be 51.

No not mason, I was saying we already have cox to develop into that role

What if Truck and Cara want him but Gia doesn’t?
Or what if Truck and Gia want him but Cara doesn’t? Or what if Gia and Cara want him but Truck doesn’t? Oh man, so much to think about…

To me stats on a small forward don’t mean much.

There aren’t many in the top echelon like Greene and Charlie.

Bobby stacks nicely against Liam Ryan stats as well.

A small forward only needs seconds to turn a game. That is not clear or determinable by stats.
