2022 Draft Watch (Part 2)

Who is he kicking out? He’s not a particularly good forward, with a low goal average and low tackles. He’s way behind most of the midfielders.

I’d love it if he’s stepped up enough to be best 22 on his merits, but I don’t really think he’ll have done that by the end of preseason.

What are you on about??

If we get to take 25, we’ve got enough points to cover a bid at 26 and a second bid at ~47 or later.

If the bids came at 26 and 27, then we’d have go into deficit. That would mean our second round pick next year would get knocked down to somewhere in the mid third round.

But @mcewanc2, the odds of J Davey being bid on at #26 is very very low. Most expect he’ll be bid on very late, if at all.

There are two benefits to drafting Hayes that I haven’t considered; he’s likely the second youngest in the draft and he is a magnificently glorious redhead.

Decent build and will fill out well.

Tall skinny red kpd with jumper number 31 available? How could we not?

Edit: oh yeah, Reid has 31

Why do you hate 2MP so much?

He’s the kid that collapsed on the 2km trial isnt he?

I think so. At least he gives 100% lol

Thats certainly a positive way to view it…

When does the second round start?

I hope we’re trading for the Giants’ pick to get ahead of the bid.

The broadcast starts at 7pm on Foxsports/Kayo

It will cost us next year’s 2nd though.

It’s a tough decision for us.

Reckon that boat has sailed to trade up. Not worth it now. Just gotta hope the bid doesn’t come till after our pick 22 (25 now).

If the bid comes in before, we’d be wise to immediately trade out our rnd 2 pick and move back and gain another.
