Is it bad I only know who 3 the players you’ve drafted are?

Underway again. Sorry a bit slow this morning, lots of flawed players to select from

Looks like Darling is back @The_Mad_Bomber

I have not heard. Today was D-Day wasn’t it?

Just over half way through the draft with 3 full days to go.
Usually we speed through rounds on weekends and in years past we start on a public holiday so we have that up our sleeve.
We should finish by Tuesday sometime at the latest.
Season starts on Wednesday right?

@Dunlop when is lockout for this week?
Before Saturday’s first game?

Me too. Was hoping he’d slide through a bit.

Yeah, that was an odd one.
I’m sure Foggy would say he’d have traded him to me for less.

I’ve been going for youth, and at that stage of the draft I was purely looking at backs, so he cost me McPherson(?) but I just couldn’t go past him.

I know Rayner’s coming back and the structure changes with Hipwood out.
But at 27 he should still be going okay in three seasons, and with 90’s in his last four games, and in the preseason game…too tempting.

Slightly worried Foggy knows something I don’t.

Looks a well balanced squad. Some kids for upside and a picked-every-week core to avoid the FA shuffle.

Yeah, I can’t be having with not fielding a full team, even if I’m trying to rebuild.

Pretty much my outlook too.

I’ve made one semi error so far, but if I can nail what I want with my last three I’ll be content.

And I’m sure others will say they’d have given better, but CB’s Doedee and Arlo Draper for Lloyd looks reasonable.

Can I list Coleman from my keepers as an LTI please , @Dunlop ?

First reports were a minor hammy, but it’s actually a tendon so it’s now 8-10 weeks.

That really hurts our balance, I was ok with him missing round 1/2 , but realistically it’s a hole in the lineup out to round 8-9 now.

Is UF down for anyone or is it just me?

I can see Crunchers is online.

It is on my phone and I see it is my pick.

Pick taken.

Pick 98. Mad Bomber -Lachie Young (North Melbourne)

Channeling his inner Cale Hooker.

Approved.

Will Phillips onto LTI for me. He has glandular fever and North aren’t setting a return to play date, as that’ll depend how his body responds - he might be back within a month, 6-8wks, 3-6 months or at the very extreme end like Alec Waterman - not back playing until 3 years later.

I’m taking LTIs nominations until I see Rd 8 has started, any nominations after that will be able to pick up their replacement as part of FAs.

JACK DARLING

  • Jack will be placed on waivers at the conclusion to Rd 1.
  • Everybody who wants him will be able to make a FA claim for him
  • Mad Bomber will be the only coach able to make a waiver claim

In the event, MB feels he is worth a waiver claim, he’ll be returned to the Crunchas, otherwise he’ll continue his career at another club.
