2022 trade speculation (Part 3)

Gee we could do with some more “B graders” like 2021 Parish.

Ridiculous, Parish was elite in 2021, arguably top 10 in the comp.

More that parish has higher value because of the younger age.

Taranto has been better for longer and is younger… i think…

Exactly my point - bringing good players in.

Parish is clearly better then Taranto and Taranto is only a little bit younger.

Parish is contracted, and guaranteed t1 compo if he leaves next year.

Would limit our FA acquisition, but if we matched I’d still think we’d get more than a pick around 10

If you were contending for the NOW, not 1 team would take Gulden/Bailey over Merrett, and i rate those guys.

I disagree, Tarranto is better in a better midfeild over all. Parish has had one good season… one very good season…
I just hope he can get back to that level.

Equal 5th in Brownlow = B grade?

most of the board is based on hypotehtical situations, if that’s you issue, you’re prolly in the wrong place.

and my hypothetical was based around the mentality “we might as well keep them all cos you know injuries” in response to me saying they are scared to make a decision and be judged on whether it works out or not.

For one year.

i’m curious what are these transferable quantifiable standards he sets ?

cos i’m pretty sure we are in the midst of a 5th review of why the ■■■■ the club is so poor.
granted it’s not all him or his doing but legit what ■■■■■■■ standards does this club have that a player can be kept for implementing them ?

I feel like we’re getting setterfield just so that we bring in at least 1 player during the trade period to save face a little

Its a fair question. Granted

We need a big bodied mid and that’s what he is. He might not be the best one but we’re not exactly the most enticing club. A match made in heaven.

We had a better clearance and contested possession differential then GWS this year and finished above them on the ladder.

I think we are getting him because he is the type of player we desperately need, theres a small chance that he can fulfill his potential if given more opportunity in his preffered position and hes cheap.

Jack Bytel would be worth a look with less senior exposure/injury history but potentially better upside if we are looking for inside depth.

yep - and he’ll be 25 in January. So age wise he’s going to be in the peaking window. Googling time to get him.
