I’m voting Sheeds to stay on. I actually love Sheeds he is Essendon and I like having a living legend on the board. I didn’t like the “I voted for Hird” crap but that’s Sheeds. I’m over that. He’s subsequently publicly backed Scott. He’s a cunning old fox but geeze we’re lucky he coached us. I’m encouraging you all to re-elect Sheeds

I reckon I will look to see who any other candidates might be and what they have to offer before I decided who to vote for (or not). It would be pretty silly to do otherwise.

Shocked because some support the bloke who was the reason we won 4 flags are 1965.
Now I support forced extermination of everyone over 70, but until that happens, I support Sheedy being a Board member for as long as he gets wants and gets enough votes to win.

If any other director did what sheedy did they would be taken out the back of tulla and shot. Sheedy survived because of his name only. That’s not a good thing

If you’re referring to the well-known QC, he happens to be a Richmond member, so It’s unlikely. But why do you call P. Griffin a “drongo” ?
He’s one of nature’s gentlemen, a successful businessman, longterm Essendon member, and well-acquainted with the Essendon power brokers - on many fronts he’d be an ideal candidate for the Board, if not for Worzel’s seat, for the seat being vacated by the well-nigh anonymous Tim Roberts. Why don’t you and your best pal Dobson get behind Griffin (who I believe is a friend of yours) and persuade him to throw his Essendon beanie into the ring ?
How do you think Kevin Sheedy got his “name”, and I assume you do not mean the name his Parents gave him at birth.
Bombers won a flag in 1965, and in 1968 went close but failed, we had a very lean nearly 20 years, and then young Kev comes along and under his control we win 4 flags in the next 17 years. That is how he got his name, by being an over achiever.
Yep he is now 75, but still in good health and his mind still sharp and it still never stops thinking.

You could argue that he underachieved during his time given the talent he had at his disposal.
Also he is at least partial responsible for the funk the club has experienced since 2000.
