I’m the same. I just don’t by into the club’s crap anymore. But imagine if Ridley goes back to being the player we know he can be. McGrath, Hind and Massimo turn into those crazy rebounding defenders that cause opposition coaches headaches. Then Kelly and Lav lockdown so hard on the oppositions best medium/small forwards that they give up at half time. Then their is BZT who is our best key defender… nope, I’m out.
And then we wander why they are trying out Baldwin in defence and Stewart before that. We have stuffed up on recruiting and during the trade period.
I think we are going to see something close to our best available 23 for the Saints game Friday;-
Ridley Zerk Kelly
Redman Lav McGrath
Merrett Setterfield Durham
Martin Jones Perkins
Weideman 2MP Menzie
Draper Parish Shiel
Bench: Caldwell Massimo ADavey Voss
SUB: Langford/Heppell
Martin and Perkins can spend time in midfield
ADavey and Voss play seniors - both offer a point of difference and make us a little unpredictable forward
Tippa/Hind/Snelling unlucky but can’t fit them all in the side
My pre-Saints praccy game prediction for round 1:
B: Laverde BZT Kelly
HB: McGrath Ridley Redman
C: Durham Setterfield Martin
HF: A. Davey Weideman Perkins
F: Menzie Wright Snelling
R: Draper Parish Merrett
Int: Jones Shiel Caldwell Hind
Sub: Langford
Emg: D’Ambrosio Guelfi Voss Bryan
yep , thats my exact side
hind/mass line ball. Voss a sneaky chance too imo
Voss or tippa before snelling
1oo% agree except I think you went way to easy on Langford (definitely not best 26) and Snelling borderline fringe.
Yep toss of the coin with Hind/Mass but I reckon they’ll lean towards experience if already no Stringer, Hep, Walla.
And yeah very keen on Voss getting games this year.
My Best 23 for round 1:
B: Laverde BZT Kelly
HB: McGrath Ridley Redman
C: Durham Setterfield Martin
HF: A. Davey Weideman Perkins
F: Menzie Wright Tippa
R: Draper Parish Merrett
Int: Voss Shiel Caldwell Hind
Sub: Guelfi
Emg: Baldwin D’Ambrosio Snelling Phillips
