Sitting in the crowd and watching them just kick it to Darcy Moore time and time again, it had me both screaming at the idiocy of our players and internally cheering Andy Mcgrath on.
If nothing else we are consistent and love feeding key backs marks and easy intercept possessions
@JBaller92 - Congrats on the win. You wouldn’t realise this but Fudge-Seagulls was the local derby - Gisborne vs. Sunbury - I won the first then Fudge was virtually unbeatable for the next 10 years, so I’m not remotely surprised that your long-time Obliterators like Dangerfield & Boak turned in their best performances of the season. Ultimately I think the difference, aside from Mihocek’s abject refusal to lead at a ball carrier, was a trio of ex-Seagulls: Tex, Lobb who vastly outperformed their averages, & Nashy, who had a point to prove after being overlooked for a keeper spot - Nash in particular was crucial as he tagged Dawson/Rachele in the 2nd half, limiting Dawson to 30 whilst scoring 52 himself.
Your squad is much better than its demonstrated so far, best of luck in your efforts to charge up the ladder.

Gee.
5th on the ladder.
My bubble will spectacularly burst sooner or later.
Worst for score in the 8. 5 teams outside the 8 with a better score.
Best against score in the 8. Only 1 team outside the 8 with a better score.
Sorry.
Given the short turn around and injury lists still having a lot of TBAs/TBCs (and me completely forgetting to change it), it’ll be 11pm tonight.
I’ll switch all the rules and stuff tonight in readiness for next week.
Without jumping into the other account, there’s usually only one or two picks that come along in half hour before the deadline.
Happy to score 1462 despite playing one short, and Guthrie being subbed out (although he was on 82 at the time so not too bad.) Hopefully De Koning back this week and Hurn/Adams too.
And just realised I’ve got the highest score for in the league, I thought I was way off the pace.
Rowan Marshall’s form. It was expected this season, but it’s great to expect a tonne every week from him. That’s 5 in a row.
Selection issues have been totally minimised this year. I have a bevy of players selected as an emergency and suffer from the sub, but it rarely affects my final 18.
The Average Bad…
Am bracing myself for the bad to follow. I’m batting way above my average. The next month. I think I should be closer towards 12th to 14th on the ladder than a game + percentage inside the top 8.
Some pretty average at best performances this week from individuals. Only 5 players scored above 80.
The Ugly…
Injuries starting to creep in. Roberts is unknown but I’m expecting it to be a 4 to 6 week injury when announced. Farrell is luckily only 3 weeks.
JHF is going to be a rollercoaster. Really spewing I got left with him. Would have much preferred Daicos.
Anyone have broken sorting in The Bench when trying to go to Squad Performance and then sort by score? It will do about 10 and then rest are out of whack.
A lot of people wanted Fiorini as a waiver.
Good luck to @redbull with Monty. I like the look of him.
Personally…
I’m going to regret the Callum Brown and Cameron Fleeton. They’ll be back on the FA scrap heap pretty soon.
It was Fiorini or bust this week! Thought he would be in demand. @redbull I was weighing up Rhett with Lav out, hope he gets the gig, I just couldn’t have another fringe back for list balance.
FA pool looks to be drying up, its just hanging fat until some injuries return and kids get a look in now.
Max returning has helped greatly and was a big reason for getting the derby W against @Dunlop . Heres hoping it’s the turning point for our year
For memory it is 30 changes per season. LTIs don’t count. It amounts to 2 per week.
I’ve gotten very close the last two or three years.
The key thing to be mindful of is that if you trade out players for draft picks, the players you pick up count towards that 30.
So, if you have been making a lot of changes through the season, try and trade back some scrubbers.
