must say was nice listening to Paul cousins excitement talking about Party Voss debut this year, it’s not if but when.

This game is the real test for us and will give us a better indication of what we are about this season.
It’s a really important year for the next crop to give us something. Perkins, Martin, Hobbs, Durham, Draper need to start ripping games apart. Not just cameoes, but genuine consistency across the season.
We really need some luck with injuries, and we are really fkn due for that.
We need Reid, Cox, Jones, Tsatas to get a good run at it at some stage this season. It’s imperative that we see what these kids have got, and getting them all on the park at the same time seems an impossibility task with our luck, but we just need one bloody season of luck to see what we’ve got, cause all the names I’ve listed, that’s our future.
We’ve had so many drafts over the years that come in and do just enough to warrant selection, but we need 3-4 of these kids to be elite, it’s a must imo. Something we’ve struggled with for too long, a lack of star power.

Weideman didn’t train today. Just in runner’s doing handballs. Have to be in doubt now to play.
Walla running a lot of laps with J.Davey.
Baldwin still trained with the defenders.

Maybe thats why Baldwin is in consideration.
I’d say he is out, they said earlier in the week they wanted to see him running today.
Be interesting who comes in.
Surely Baldwin plays at least half a season in the VFL learning the craft of defending. Big ask to come in as an AFL defender after a couple of practise games. Can see him getting exposed by smart forwards. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Can they? If he wasn’t named in the squad? I thought they could only bring someone into the squad if a player was injured between naming the squad and the final 22.
Lukosius is playing forward as well
They tricked me naming him on the wing.
I guess they will be rotating a tall off the bench, so matchups probably still work, but they will try and stretch us with rotations.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they acknowledge that they were a bit too tall last week and change things up a bit
If the team is finalised today, and Weideman isn’t even training… That’s probably not good.
Oh sheesh, didn’t realise. That seems like a pretty bad call considering Weideman was always in doubt…unless its just posturing
Baldwin is being tested as a defender…Voss isn’t. We should have named Voss in the emergencies.
