Essendon just needs to pull its finger out and stop overvaluing draft picks.

Yes and no.
They need to be the right player.

For example. instead of Shiel, we could have picked Zac Butters & Cody Weightman.

You must be absolutely sure on the player you’re bringing in is a list need.

Except if the goal was to attain a premiership with the saga players, neither would have met the strategic plan and Shiel was the better option.

Calm down, I’m not interested in arguing our list position at the time.

I’m just using it as an example regarding the value of the draft.
