Once Tassie comes in, there will be byes every rd. Best we get used a more uneven fixture

I was discussing it with a AFL assistant coach a few days and that is how the AFL has spun it to the clubs apparently unless something got lost in the messaging

Why has the capacity shrunk? What happened?

Surely only during redevelopment/construction works. Will that be finished prior to the 2024 season?
Capacity has not shrunk by 10k.
Seats are being reserved, either by annual reserved members, general public and Medallion Club.
When they don’t show up, it’s an empty seat and they aren’t counted in the attendance.
That’s why we get a 39k sellout there that still falls short of capacity.

They got 49000 to the good friday game. Crowds are down there but capacity is still the same
Official capacity hadn’t shrunk but because Essendon have so many reserved seat members, there’s thousands of empty seats at the home games. Sell outs have ultimately only had 40-45K in every case. So I’m effect, capacity for Essendon home games isn’t in reality anywhere near the stadiums capacity.
