Dangerfield as a youngster.

As was Wanganeen, even though not a winger.

Kershaw looks similar build to Durham when he arrived. Moves well and capable above his head. Bring !

Yeah he looks to have some real scope when you think of what he could look like with a few preseasons and if he manages to piece it all together. I am ok with taking a project player like this in the MSD

Kershaw definitely looks like an Essendon type of pick.

Who’s the best state league small forward available? Peiris, on our doorstep.
No- brainer. Has pace to burn, 12 tackles last week in VFL and good disposal.

Bloody Biscott wants another Jake Kelly on the wing again doesn’t he?

I wanted Tex Wanganeen, but Martin was good enough too, so wanted to use the second SSP on him.

ESSENDON

Available list spots prior to Round 11: 1

Jaiden Hunter ruptured his ACL in January, meaning the Bombers are eligible to make a pick next Wednesday night.

Two Essendon VFL players to watch here are half-forward Oskar Smartt and midfielder Cam Nyko. Smartt was one of 24 players to be listed for medicals ahead of next week’s intake and could be considered for an AFL contract with the Bombers, while Eastern Ranges product Nyko has shown good consistency, averaging 15.5 disposals from four games.

East Fremantle duo Milan Murdock and Jed Hagan, as well as Sandringham Zebras defender Maxwell Benier, have also been linked to Tullamarine.

Another player the Bombers could consider is Hugo Bromell, who’s been starring for Coburg in the VFL this season. The 191cm prospect has averaged 23.0 disposals and 4.3 tackles from his six games, showing outstanding consistency since Round 1.

Sounds like it is just the writers opinion to me on who they think. Nothing in there about us actually looking at them.

Absolutely! I think most on here get seduced by a cool name. Munkara, Fejo Jr, Voss.
Nick Martin is a boring vanilla name. I’m so glad our recruiting department isn’t run by Blitz.

The realities of player recruitment are most times greater than the romanticism of player recruitment.

Romanticism gets a bit of a run with any reasonable father-son recruitment. I suppose it’s a bit of a free hit, so why wouldn’t you look at a father-son.

This is incorrect. Players can only be put on the Cat B list at anytime if they’re not eligible for the draft. NGA kids can only be put on the Cat B list if they go undrafted through the national draft. If the club doesn’t take the option then it lapses. But comes back if undrafted next year.

If Foley nominated for the midseason draft we’ve no special rights.
