2025 draft spec (Part 1)

This sounds like why someone like the weaglea are so into him, need that type of leader

we must apportion so much resources into finding the next bont/callaghan type

I just don’t think any draftees are worth two high first round picks. And there’s no suggestion Duursma is a generational talent. Take the picks to the draft.

For example, Eagles rejected Hawks pick 5 and future first for Reid. Those picks became Watson and Murphy Reid. As good as Reid could become, you may prefer having those two players instead.

Another example would be some of those crazy offers North knocked back for JHF.

So we simply must get a guy that two weeks ago you’d never heard of?

you mean bulldogs #4?

This is my same concern with Sharp

Different kind of player. As much as he is big he is not overly a contested beast type. More a power running type that moves through traffic very well. Hard to tackle and scoring threat

I’ve heard enough. Lock in Robey with one of our early picks.

This is such a critical draft for us.

Absolutely fascinating to see what Rosa does.

I think we need to spend draft capital on a forward to work with Caddy and Kako.

It might be a tall or a half forward but we need a genuine dangerous forward.

Edwards, McMahon and Jones not getting it done for you?

(So many wasted list spots.)

By seasons end we were decimated in our backline and midfield but out forward line was only missing Caddy and it just looked terrible.

We absolutely need to invest here.

Is Robey the BBM that was promised?

Or is he the player that Perkins should have been?

Regardless it would be nice having a guy that doesn’t need 5 years in the gym before being able to lay a tackle.

How was his disposal in this game?

Get the spoon next year and draft Dougie = multi flags.

I think we need one too but I’m not sure I see one that’s worth a high pick in the draft.

If prefer we go mid, mid/fwd, half back (assuming draper compo

Cumming, Robey and grilj would be pretty exciting

it definitely throws a spanner in the works, with multiple picks we could probably take a chance on Robey.

I imagine there is a few our recruiters like. in the top 10.

It’s good we get to see another week from him at least.

Either Marsh or Schubert?

I’m not against taking Robey. I just don’t think there’s anyone in this draft pool that we simply must get, let alone Robey who carries a huge amount of uncertainty still.

Lots of options at our picks.

Robey has become the messiah in just one week!

I’d be backing Marsh as a KPF, I see him as an upgrade on Edwards, McMahon, Langford with a scope to be better contested and more conventional structural FF and I think he’ll come on a bit faster and less prone to injury than a guy who is around 200cm
