2025 draft spec

I think there’s a great chance Lindsay will be there at our pick. If he is I’d be surprised if Rosa doesn’t snap him up.

Don’t think we’ll have pick #3.

There is absolutely a world where Saints, North and Swans go above us.

Clubs should all be prepared to pass if another club places an unrealistic bid. Bottom line is you have an obligation to take the best player, if that means us passing on a NGA then we should do it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if no one bids on Sweid at all in the top 50.

And potentially Richmond

We might win 2 more games, so 8 for the year.

I don’t see Richmond winning 5 more.

It’s a risk for clubs isn’t it. Rosa is less predictable than Dodoro and I’d worry that Essendon wouldn’t match the bid

I don’t know if Sweid would make us a better side at all. He’s in a similar vein to mids we already have a lot of.

Can’t see Sweid happening outside of category b

All the way up to Narrandera, on the northern bank of the Murrumbidgee - Percy Bushby’s home town.

The shift of Willem out of the midfield continued here. He played as a key defender for the first three quarters of the game to decent effect, taking some intercept marks and showing that the increased time and space exiting defense helps his kicking skills significantly. With Gippsland trailing entering the fourth quarter, he was moved into the forward line and responded with a couple of goals to help surge his team to another victory and consolidate their lead at the top of the Talent League ladder.

Not sure why Essendon not matching the bis would be a worry. If they failed to match then they obviously they don’t rate him that high and believe there are better options available. I don’t subscribe to the theory that if a player has some connection to Essendon, then you have to take him. I want the best players we can get.

Josh Lindsay is not another hbf that can play midfield dodo pick?

I suspect that @Crazy_Bomber is saying clubs may not rate a short midfielder who can’t dominate at the champs in the top 50. Nothing to do with who our list manager is.

Which makes sense because there have been a number who did dominate at the champs but slipped because they were small.

Of course, maybe Sweid will dominate the remaining 4 VM games. :man_shrugging:

No. This kid can kick.

Is he also quick?

Because it’s almost comical how one-paced and vanilla this side is.

`there are different types of quick - he is quick by thought not leg speed - been likened to pendelbury

He’s the exact type of elite kicking off the Half Back line we need.
We’re all sick off McGrath’s turnovers. Lindsay is Elite. Above 80% kicking.

I think this will be his future in the AFL, defender first who swings forward. Similar role to Sicily
