Just a quick heads up.
I’ve shifted the draft to begin at 5pm tomorrow on AFL Fantasy just to give me a bit of a buffer to get the draft order right and for any weird errors that may occur.
This should give coaches time to sort out their app settings (turn off auto pick, turn open notifications, etc).

For some obscure reason, AVanderScreamer’s team got to keep all 28 players and Allblack lost Ned Long, Derksen, Bond and Clay Hall.
And it’s not letting me adjust each individual draft pick like last year.

But once the draft room is open, you can trade draft picks, so I may have to force through the trades. But I do need to sort out what the go is with AVanderScreamers team. Not sure why it decided to let him keep all 28 players. He’s only got two draft picks.
The plan is still to run round 2 onwards on the AFL Fantasy.
If I haven’t got it sorted out by 10am tomorrow morning, it’ll have to wait until around 3pm in the afternoon.

Nup. It’s screwed. I can’t cut anyone from AVanderScreamer’s team. And all but two of his picks disappear from the draft.
I’m going to have to get someone from AFL Fantasy to help with this.

A bit jealous of @Awesome_Scotty ’s 3 top 10 picks. Looks like he’ll still be getting a top talent at pick 9

Thrilled to get Smillie, was the one I was hoping for but did not think would last to my pick-hence trying to get another first rounder.
All worked out in the end for me. Was pooping bullets that The Melkman would cut my lunch!

Looks like AFL Fantasy will take their sweet time with the snafu.
I think the issue was that @AVanderScreamer did cut players in error roughly when the trade period began. Then I re-instated the players for him, so it didn’t cut the list any further.
By my count, it should drop the bottom 8 averaging players on his list.
So that means Ramsden, Dan Curtin, Bailey Humphrey, Chesser, O’Sullivan, Buku Khamis, Vandrmeer and Hugo Garcia will be available in the draft.
So if coaches want to wait a bit for these guys to actually be available in the draft when AFL Fantasy make their cut, that’s fine.
I really didn’t know who to pick at 7. I was weighing up Smith, Smillie or one other player. Largely opted for Smith because his junior numbers are better than anyone else’s in the draft and I’ve fortunately got plenty of midfielders so I don’t need someone to be able to play in 2024. I think had Smillie played the practice match I’d probably have gone for him, but wasn’t too sure where he was sitting in his injury recovery.

Apologies, I have not done any research at all for this draft.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow are my busiest days but after that I should be sorted.
Also, this draft pool is pretty bloody poor. So I’m still working out how to work with it.
That is very fair on all points.
I’ve messaged Neela for his pick.
Looks like there is a way to fix up the draft and AVanderScreamer’s list from my end. Will sort it out when I get back in front of a computer this afternoon.

Sorry for the delay.
Lombard was my initial target for 6 until he injured his shoulder. Think he’ll be a jet. So happy to get this additional pick to get him a little further down.
Didn’t want two injured people otherwise would’ve gone Jagga at 6. So good compromise here.
@The_Melkman got a good deal holding at 7.

so all available players we use the app draft list, but post selctions in the draft thread?
TT was my first wish I could have taken him at my next pick. Not sure where he will finish up playing but I like the kid.

From the looks of it, once we’re on the app, the draft should move very well. The draft board looks great and it looks like it’ll let you trade picks easily and will handle excess and deficit picks pretty well.
Hopefully we’re on it by this afternoon.
