I wondering if I’ve gone way too early on Kako. Did anyone consider him in the top 10?

10 players picked, and the top 9 of the AFL draft already selected.

Would have considered, but he won’t peak as early as others.
Depends on your existing mix.

Was him and TT I had as my top two options for 12. Having to do some research and scramble a little now

I really needed forwards, and have a comparatively strong midfield mix. Considered some offers to trade down the draft but got spooked when he kicked four against Geelong.

Nah, I don’t think you went too early. I was considering him for pick 7. Long-term forward, will play straight away and his junior fantasy numbers were good last year. He’s going to have great trade currency in the future when the hype train builds

The main thing in fantasy footy is that you should be having fun, and you’d have to say as a long-suffering EFC supporter, having Kako on your team is FUN.

Also I think having 6-5-6 teams for this season reframes team structure a LOT so FWDs and DEFs become relatively more valuable when there’s all these premium rookies who are MID only.

TLDR > love the Kako pick

Is there someone who I can give my number to that can message me when I am up for anything

Yep, PM me your number and I’ll text when you’re up

I have dropped Vandermeer, Dan Curtin, Ramsden, Connor O’Sullivan, Chesser, Hugo Garcia, Khamis and Bailey Humphrey from AVanderScreamer’s team, so they are all in the draft pool in the AFL Fantasy App.

I’m sorting out the draft order.
This looks like it’ll be a fun exercise.
I’m not sure it’ll work the way we want to end up as, but we’ll see how it goes.

Wow, some high end talent getting chopped there!

He actually has a pretty strong team.
So even though he suffers from the auto-cut, I’d say he’s a strong chance to make finals.
Great backline. Decent midfield. Forward line could use some help, but it looks okay to go into a draft.
He also has two first choice rucks if he wants to capitalise on a trade.

He’s definitely got more bases covered across his list than I have. With still lot’s of room for improvement.

How long do I have? Just super busy at work for a few hours

I think you have about 7 hours - so you have some time

Okay. I’ve sorted the draft order.
So if you go to the App or the AFL Fantasy website, and go to our draft board, it should show the picks that have traded to teams.

When you go to your team on a browser (from a computer), down the bottom it shows your picks that you have.

Unfortunately, the app doesn’t act the same. Maybe next year, but this is a real good feature to the platform.

I’ve pushed the draft start on AFL Fantasy at 9am tomorrow morning which should align with when we’re towards the end of the first round.
Can I get everyone to check their picks against the draft thread? I’ve checked it twice (round to round then team by team) and haven’t found an error. I’ll do another sanity check again later on tonight.

I think I should still be able to make some minor changes once the draft begins, but I want to make sure things are in place before beginning the draft.

Appreciate all your work.

Good news with the draft as well.

It’ll show the full list of available players on one side of the screen and then allow you to add them to a ‘queue’ for your next pick.
It look’s very much like Ultimate Footy, where you can almost set and re-order your contingencies for your next pick.
This feature is also available on the app as a bonus.

Great work mate. It looks like I only have 9 picks given I traded more picks out than in. I assume the backend of the draft will need some cleaning up to ensure everyone has 10 picks.

I honestly don’t think I’ve taken a first round pick in years…

But welcome Sam Davidson. A little bit of a risk, but he’s a mature ager forward, and looks a spicy propisition being able to score tons and play midfield also…Looks like he’ll play early on.

Nah. The back end gets left as is.
There is trading through the draft, so you can still recover or trade out picks and players.
But once the draft ends, if you don’t have a full 30, you get players off free agency.

If it’s anything like my other comp, every available player should be on a 2 day waiver claim period straight after the draft.

I haven’t done enough research on the new draftees around my first pick, so I went safe.
I’m hoping to use my next pick on a draftee.
