Let’s face it, would your view be any different irrespective of the draw? They could surprise to a degree if things go their way with injury and they’re able to develop their players (Tsatas, Reid, Perkins, Bryan, Draper etc).

Correct. We’re now out of contract and the club have failed to achieve an outcome they thought they would get and know their members value highly. Its a big miss and reflects poorly on the Board and Craig Vozzo frankly.

And every year it’s about who you meet when, ie it was great to play Hawks early last year….
Maybe that be the same this year whilst new recruits gel.
Who knows Saints cue could be in rack end of season and it’s great time to play them.
Just hard to have any optimism when the club reveal themselves to be frauds year after year by the mid point of season.
It’s a disappointing result for the club who failed to land their plan.
I think the St Kilda extra game at the G was to support their 150 celebrations.

It’s just another example of Essendon not doing its stuff at the highest level like it once did. It’s continued mediocrity, this time in its commercial endeavours.
How does a team that finished 11th last year get such a tough fixture? We play Geelong, Sydney and Carlton twice and have 2 trips to Perth.
Could very well be 0-4 after the first 4 rounds. One interesting observation is our round 2 game against Adelaide. When was the last time we played the crows at the G? Probably the late 90’s?
A lot of nuffs on here were celebrating getting the dees round 1 2025 pick not realising they were in the last bracket for 2025 fixture groupings and yeah now they’ve been ranked as having the easiest fixture in the comp.
