NO DOUBT
Luke Hodge-like captaincy down back from Heppell. We lose without him tonight.
Can we just stop bagging this guy. He’s not playing in the middle, which he probably wants to but just doing a job for us. His disposal efficiency is just great.
Heppell is a gun and is massively treated unfairly
His best game for the year by an absolute mile. He was enormous when it mattered.
Could not agree more about Hepp. The heart and soul of the club. Efficienct tonight was impeccable. Note, Merrett and Parish, as good as they are, never seem to be criticized for their turnovers like this champ.
Great leader.
You don’t have to scream and yell at your troops to be a great leader.
The best leaders - the very best - lead the way Hepp does. With a smile and support and a pat on the back. It’s rare as hens teeth but it’s without a shadow of a doubt the best style of leadership.
Watched his interview with purple, we are so lucky to have him. Dyson Heppell , all heart.
Give this one some ■■■■■■■ juice. Loved it.
great game at half back today. but I still think there is a spot for him to get back into the middle as the big strong mid that we’ve been crying out for, at least for the rest of this year until Perkins can step in or dodoro can find us one for next year. I think the number of quality medium/third tall type of defenders (I’m thinking Laverde, Francis and Ridley) that we have could even squeeze him out of the backline.
hes working his way from a lot of injuries andhe seems to have got some of his pace back. at the very least he should present as an option in the middle for rutten to deploy him situationally.
Keep him back. He is doing a Luke Hodge off the HB line and I love it.
What is this based on?
Covered 16km today (our best by far). Did seem to pop up absolutely everywhere.
Amazing work rate.
He was fantastic today. His effort in the last especially.
Proper captains game.
Well played Hepp. Credit to him, he stood up tonight and his work rate and gut running was admirable. I dips me lid.
Body cherry ripe, cobber.
Back to me best.
I’m going with Experience
definite signs that he’s fitting into the speed of the game much better. Entirely down to speed of thought and reading the play, as he’s not going to get physically quicker. Had some moments under real pressure where decision making and execution was perfect, way less reactive. Excellent outing.
Key part of “the Wall”. Masterful reading of the play. 11 intercepts and stood up when the game was on the line.
