#21 Dyson "Go jam it” Heppell - goes alright

Nice bit of exaggeration there. 4 weeks at the start of the season and maybe the last two weeks is not “more than half the season”.

Having retired at just 31 years of age, Lloyd could have played on and potentially would have reached the 1,000-goal mark, but revealed he lost the passion to play at the top level.

“For me, when I retired, it was nothing about thinking about getting to 300 games or 1,000 goals, I wasn’t happy and I wasn’t enjoying myself,” Lloyd said.

“Talk about becoming a chore, football become the biggest chore for me and it really hit me.

Either very brave or tone deaf of the club to announce this week. Who am I kidding, tone deaf.

On balance, it’s deserved but man that timing.

Well done he managed to get another year out of the club, good on him!

Replacing Hepp with a 5th round pick will just eliminate more of the thin leadership in the team. There’s a big risk here of creating a group of aimless kids with nobody to guide them. That results in years of substandard performances.

There’s plenty on the list to turn over. I’m rapt that Hepp is continuing on.

I think they think this is the uplift we all needed.

They already look aimless. How much worse can it get!

Maybe, but then you could say the same for others, who really do need to move on as well.

No idea how to read a room.

Not really no.

Well said, CJ.

My hope is that his form across the first 5 games of 2023 don’t become his form across the first 10 games of 2024, but unfortunately I think that will be the case. We are 6 months away from Rd. 1.

Baldwin, or
Any of the other generic defenders we’ve drafted over the past couple of years

Or maybe they came to terms and then announced it, nothing about good or bad reading of the room?

Some of you need to make tin foil hats with the amount of conspiracy you all see in everything.

Guelfi and Draper lead the pack being insta socialites, wanting more click bait than focusing on becoming footy players

Duzza needs more leadership to bring out the beast inside.

Perkins should have not shaved his head now looking like a Guildford grammar choir boy

It’s rife!

There was a reason he wasn’t enjoying himself. Anyway, my point is that no player ‘deserves’ to go out on their own terms, especially if the current crop.

Leadership haha don’t recall posting that

I don’t see a conspiracy. Just incompetence.
