#22 - Jake Carlisle: Gone

I cant wait to see this done… All we need is Disco to try and get him to the Hawks tomorrow.

Don’t care what the saints offer now. FK those pathetic cts. We are dealing with hawthorn only.

St Kilda are very hard to deal with!

They say he isnt worth pick 5 and more like pick 7-12 yet thats what the pick could be after academy selections?

"We"ll give you pick 5 and also throw in a dwarf"
No deal...Scott Watters isn't there anymore.

What the ■■■■ is going on, the age rooting for an Essendon deal? Is this real life?

People do realise that literally ANYBODY on the planet can edit a Wikipedia page, right?

My parents couldn’t

Have Essendon given saints a deadline?

If they haven’t, they should walk in tomorrow morning and tell St Kilda they’ve got til 4pm, and if it’s not done, they’ll finalise the paperwork with Hawthorn.

Great by Jake Niall.

This is so funny that St Kilda is being shown up for the incompetent delusional wannabe football club they are.

Part of the awesomeness of the deals with Hawthorn and GWS (should they go through as described) is that they are all excellent outcomes for all parties involved. We score some great picks, GWS get the two highly-rated Academy kids for a single first round pick and Hawthorn get a KPP to help keep their list on track for another flag. In fact, the only club that gets burnt is St Kilda, and that’s entirely on them for missing the bus in the first place.

I also love that the introduction of a new F/S bidding system may actually be of benefit to us for a change.

So much for hard to deal with…

No, the age are being the AFLs mouthpiece, as usual.

The AFL doesn’t want Carlisle to end up at Hawthorn, it’s getting embarrassing enough for them how FA and easier trading, which was supposed to help out struggling clubs, always tends to end up with those struggling clubs losing important players to strong teams. If Carlisle goes to the Hawks, the AFL will deal with it, but once moer their rules and by extension them, will look stupid.

So the AFLs useful flunkies at Spence Street go all out at St Kilda to try and convince them to trade harder for Carlisle, in order to avoid the embarrassment.

Nothing to do with us, one way or another. The AFL know that, no matter what we get for him, we’re losing a vital high-quality kpp (when we can afford to spare exactly zero kpps from our list, to be honest) and because of that they’re one step closer to achieving their goal of utterly shutting down our chances of challenging for a flag in the medium term. The AFL have already beaten us. We’ve had our list gutted over the past three off-seasons and we’ve folded over on every issue whatsoever. Why would they bother beating up on us any more now we’re their wholly owned subsidiary?

Has Jake started following Hawthorn on twitter yet?

From what Adrian Doddoro was saying, he’s just waiting for Hawthorn and Carlisle to come to an agreement. He would do the trade at now if possible.

They only work at 63% capacity.

I hope Ameet swaps 5 for two later picks, and still misses out on Jake…then spends the rest of his days rocking back-and-forth in an institution wondering how Adrian outplayed him.

The Saints are right that Carlisle isn’t quite worth pick 5. He’s probably worth a pick from 7-12 in this draft. But the Saints have offered him a contract that defines him as worth close to pick no 5 (we believe around $650,000 x five years); had Carlisle been a free agent, guess what Essendon would receive in draft compensation? Yep, pick 5.

Yep, says it all really." We are sooo hard to deal with, unrealistic etc yada, yada, yada"-not
.
St Kilda may have missed the boat on screwing EFC, and absolutely misread the “pub test” on this one.

How about 15 and 18?

Imagine how much pressure will be on the player St Kilda end up picking with pick 5 if we don’t end up with it!
