I’m depressed
I’ll go with the Myers disposal is ■■■■■ bit, but he goes alright in the contest. FWIW I’m disappoint THE hasn’t got more of a go. Lav I’m happy to go back to the seconds for a bit longer in Fav of Green and Mutch and Franga need to get a run of it soon.
I get all the angst given the last 15 years, but seriously guys, this year is a bit of an anomaly. I reackon most of us would have been happy to be pushing for finals given the lay off our experienced guys had.
I’m sorry you guys can’t see that where on the up, (laugh it up Crazy) although I agree where a quality mid or two short at present.
Been a good yet frustrating year, however personally I’m comfortable we’re finally on a bwttwr path (just play a few more kids and get another established A grade mid).
Thats where a lot of you and a lot of us fundamentally disagree.
we feel we’re about 3-4 core midfielders away, among other things.
the best thing about saying “we’re on the up” is you can just say it every year and make excuses when it doesn’t occur. we’ve “been on the up” for 17 years. when we’re actually “up” get back to me. we have the worst finals record for close to two decades, and would be in the bottom few for total wins in that time. even Carlton and St.Kilda have bottomed out and won finals and bottomed out again the same time that we’ve been stuck in 12th. until we actually piecing together more than a few good wins in a row without losing to a bottom team, get back to me. I’m sorry I come across as pessimistic but missing finals again but beating a few interstate teams just doesn’t do it for me, yes I’m impatient. win some fcking games for fcks sake.
the few highlights I’ve had this year has been watching Joe rip it up, Zerrett dominate, faz begin his great career and tippa/Hurley. other than that it’s more of the same, we’re still playing the same crop that didn’t get us anywhere 2, 3, 5-10 years ago, and still expecting a different result. I’m including myers in this crop, and Howlett amongst others. years of sh*tness has made us content with being average, and overly defensive about the clubs poor win rate. I’m more than happy for people to give me legit reasons why next year will be better, outside of “better for the run”. I want someone to cheer me up and not remind myself we’re pumping games into guys like howlett instead of Mutch or Begley. i’m actually bullish on our kids and especially Langford/Mutch/Begs, I just want us to play them.
We should look to get a high second rounder for him (myers) by offloading him to melbourne and target someone like sydney (J Kennedy) geelong (menagola)
…thats the expectation id have of jackets (given his experience in the industry)
In theory…itd give us a fairly potent midfield (if we drift BJ through the midfield)…so you’re looking at:
Inside: Hep/ New Recruit/ Darcy P / mutch (part-time- BJ / langers/ fridge) (depth: clarke / howlett or bird)
Outside: zaka/ zack / pigeon/ colyer (part-time- walla / raz / green / irish) (depth: new recruits next year+ long)
We should try & get pittard as a free agent to replace kelly in the backline and hope like hell that one of ridley / morgan / redman tk the next step (of course ive assumed franga will be primed to start killing it in the seniors next year)
Our forward line is sorted 4 the next 3-4 years i think
This would mean v should have a pretty decent to @ least mk the finals…
Fingers crossed…this is the ideal scenario folks
Don’t think I’ve ever said we haven’t been ■■■■ although since I’ve been on blitz we did cop the whole saga which derailed a couple of campaigns that were looking promising - but before that yeah we have been.
I’m certainly in the "I’d like to be pumping a few games into the kids’ camp, but outside of THE, Franga and Mutch (and maybe BBB) i think the season has been good overall given the reality of events.
Next year my expectations will adjust accordingly and if the kids don’t get a few more games with another preseason, if we don’t get an established mid or 2, if we don’t draft a mid or two and if we stagnate in skills or ladder position I might well be giving you and Barnz Dutch rudders. Until then you can gloom with DPK and I’ll be smoking unicorns and rainbows with Deckham and co.
What happens in the match thread stays in the match thread
I’ll start a gofundme page to pay anyone of you code savvy kidz to create this.

He is a tall midfielder originally from Perth in the WAFL, he also attended Wesley College, Perth.
I think you need to take a bit of your own medicine champ!
Talk about contradicting yourself completely in one stupid post. Read your last sentence:
“you can fck right off if your one of these preachers who believes it’s their right how to tell people how they should be reacting to anything or how people should vent their frustrations. Everyone’s different, get over yourselves”
So stop fcking thinking its your god given right to tell us how we should be reacting. If we want to defend the club, back a few of our boys in, and feel optimistic about the future, we have a right to do so.
You say we are not allowed to believe we’re heading in the right direction cos we lost to brisbane… really? is this just fact is it?

Hard to argue with that.
I never said you, or anyone couldn’t defend the club, be optimistic, if you or anyone want to do that, that’s fine. If it came across that way, it wasn’t intended. Some of what people say is completely justified but some of it is honestly, dead set lying to yourselves. The levels of angst are growing here, and some people see this season as just another “meh” season. It’s not just the Brisbane loss
There is some massive overreactions in here, from both sides. I overreact massively at times and I admit it, I’m very passionate. This club is my life (yeah it’s just a game, but to me it’s not, lol) but make no mistake, I want success, I’m just sick of the mediocrity. The last time we won a final I was 16, I can barely remember it. It’s sad
You should never have to apologise here for passion.
Thats why i love this place. The passion…and the broken matt hardy gifs
We had Damien Cupido and Justin Murphy in that team and people love to talk smack about them.
At least they played in winning finals ■■■■■■■.
So did Ben Haynes.
Roll up roll up win yourself a cupidoll
Murphy in 2004 was actually pretty good. 2005 on the other hand…
Damien Cupido got me into footy.
I loved watching him play when I was a kid.
You can see a 110kg version of Cupido at East Burwood these days.
I said in the Dodoro thread Murphy for McGrath was some of our best trading. It’s true if not sad.
