Maybe the alternative view is that rather than doing the right thing for Edwards, what we actually did was identify a diamond in the rough and we are happy to be patient to see him at his end development. Look for good players in other places, great things can happen.

Extending Edward is yet to show results. Handing a new contract to a a thinly built, 25 year old who will be out for a year due to injury and highly likely to miss pre-season. This could be just like the Hunter situation where heās just not built for AFL.
There are plenty of first blemishes if you look for them.

These decisions are a combination of coaching, football department and list management.
They are all working together. Not in isolation.
I wouldnāt be surprised if discussions had already started on an extension. The player has played in every AFL game heās been available in. He hasnāt played a VFL game since 2022. And he only played 3 games in that year.
Itās pretty obvious whatever we see, isnāt what the coaches and football department see.

You think Tsatsas should be kept. Big blokes are harder to find than pick 5s who cat kick or run
