He is trying his guts out. He needs to put a lot of weight on Tracking well so far. Hus kicking for goal appears elite.

Another couple of pre-seasons and lots of time in the gym. He is going to be an absolute star, we have to be patient and allow him to grow into himself.

With hooker, Phillips and 2mp it’s not leaving Jones a heap of room to work in the forwardline.
His pressure is seriously impressive for a key forward. I love this kid.

None of which has anything to do with what I said. Never questioned his effort etc, just noticed today that he was looking, noticing someone else was going to go up and chose to stay down - I’d prefer him be going up as well.
He is going to be a very very good forward once he gets a bit stronger. Love his work so far this year.

The last mark paid to Hooker was the one he ripped out of Jones hands. At first it made me giggle, but l soon realized why Hooker did so. Taking the mark allowed Jones to run forward and present as another marking option, whereas Hooker would never have been able to run forward in time and provide an aerial option.
