it’s so customizable, so good for comparisons.
One time I used wheelo to come to the conclusion that the Bont is the most all round midfielder in the competition.
Absolutely it can be tought, Wright is a good example of that. You just have to have a guy who wants to grow that way.
Send him down to an Olympic level wrestling gym for the summer and you will see a massive growth in his intensity in a short period. No doubt Jamar can bring it out of him a bit too.
In that farkawful Freo game I was surprised that our rucks played so well in terms of tap ruck skills. Both Bryan and Flip were among our best, mainly because the rest of the players just jogged for 3 quarters. We didn’t even need 2 rucks in that game as it turned out! Darcy was not that good, However, Jackson was brilliant around the ground and he was a point of difference.
But we have to get more games into Bryan. If we are going to have 2 rucks, we need to give Bryan at least 4 more games this season.
We didn’t lose the game in the ruck.
Sure.
Based on the play by play summary the people who knocked Bryan’s game clearly did not watch it.
Patrick Voss doesn’t appear on the site. Is that because he hasn’t played an AFL game?

I reckon he’s going OK for a young developing ruck, stays in for mine until Draper is 100% fit.
Only if they give him some decent gametime. There is zero point in playing him for 34% of the game. It negatively effects the strength of the senior team plus it denies him actual development time & destroys confidence. Play him for 90% of the VFL or aim to have him 50/50 with Phillips at a minimum. Beyond 2023 he looks the only possible option for the second ruck position so every minute Phillips plays over him is wasted time. This is exactly the type of short term decisions that hurt our future.
I reckon Phillips will stay on for another season
Typical Essington to have 3 first rounders in the COVID affected year.
Use Draper like we use Stringer essentially. I can see that as a possibility.
I really hope we have a plan for future backup that doesn’t rely on Phillips next year. I’m not sure of the answer, but I think we need to bring in someone better than Phillips as the backup to Draper and Bryan. Preferably someone who can play 70% forward, but who can also ruck as a primary ruckman if required.
Bryan is very young for a ruckman and not at AFL level yet. Issue is, much like fark Carlton with TFK, if you don’t play him, he will leave for opportunities. I think he will become a good serviceable ruckman in about 4 years.
What? Young Bryan with his 8 games is more polished than Goldy with his 300+ games. Be off with you! Bryan is far from the finished product as you would expect a young colt just starting out on his rucking journey. In football terms he is but an infant. Any comparison to Goldy who has the most tap outs on AFL history, is a few years premature.
a just mean in terms of his general skill level, i think he’s better kick than goldy
Is it just me or is he painfully slow?
Doesn’t look like he has enough athleticism to translate to AFL level at this stage.
