Some of the VFL matches I’ve seen he gives the midfield an absolute armchair ride as well. Very good placement.

This is why I’m a little perplexed why he’s not getting more senior gametime. I’m not sure how much more we are expecting of him. I think he’s showing more than Draper at the same career stage. Seems like a perfect time to give him at least half the ruck duties, he’s earned it and we need it right now. Offers more than Weid as a ruck and forward.

I believe in Bryan. If nothing else these experiences will help shape his off season and better prepare him for a real charge at being Draper’s long term understudy. The lad has exceptional rucking technique. He reminds me of a young Tim English who took some time to get the size and tank to be one of the best ruckmen in the league.

He should be nice and fresh having had the week off. I expect him to be right up for this. He’s coming up against a solid but not top tier ruckman so he has a great opportunity to give a good account of himself.
