#26 Cale "Thank You Mr" Hooker - rejects a brown paper bag from FCFC

Aye. They all did but not many more than Hooker did.

I see the Buddy chase differently. People can laugh, but when Buddy gets the ball 2 metres clear of them almost all players just give up. Not Hooksy. He tried, he gave it his all.
Back then under his leadership our players would all take him on. I well remember Baggers tackling Buddy front on, it was like David and farking Goliath.
Back then we had a great back line who played with great spirit.

Onya Hooksy. What a competitor. One of my favourite players & people.

Done your job helping the youngsters come through!

Never know what may happen over end of season & final (s), 2021 might not be over for him just yet.

If this news is true, it cuts deep cos he’s a fav of mine for a decade.

Saddens me he will leave without winning a final (unless……)

Hope we see him against Collingwood.

This guy has squeezed every last drop of energy for this club.

Or we trialled the forward line without him and were comfortable with the results.

Baldwin just re-signed also. They are looking ahead.

Cale leaving leaves me feeling hollow. Such a loyal club man who gave his all. Another one who deserves to have felt the joy of winning at least one final. His fist pumping goal celebrations were always team lifting and wonderful to enjoy. Just a great bloke who I’m so pleased was ours.

I honestly thought the club would give him one more year.

If it’s true, it might not have been the club’s decision.

Absolute champion and deserves to be celebrated as such.

But the time is right. He’s given everything and his body is no longer capable of carrying out the various tasks needed to fulfil his role. Yes he can still bob up for a goal or two but it’s about the totality of what he can and can’t do these days.

I don’t think he will hold it together at the Press Conference.
Reckon the tears will come thick and fast.

Like Speedy, I wonder if there might be 1 more inspiring performance in him ?
If not, how much joy has he given us during a dark time in the club’s history.

I mean it’s not a shame we’re in finals contention, but geez you would of liked to see him one more time - in front of fans

he does deserve a farewell game. but I mean with our situation, it’s just not happening
