Kav will take Melkshams spot. You heard it here first.
But they were both in the same team by the end of last year.

Refer to EFC web site today: Kav getting a good report card from Hepp. Says he is training really well and is a "standout"
Thats the most annoying thing about pre season. the daily reports from re: who is tearing it up. I’ve heard this that many times that anything less than 20 Brownlow votes for Kav this year will leave me bitterly disappointed.

Would’ve been much easier to start off with that username considering Chapman actually wears #3 and not #2…
last year it was browne tearing it up in the preseason,…so sad he missed last season.

I meant in respect to being given an opportunity like Melksham has in the past even if form waivers…
If he makes the rnd 1 side, I hope he plays well, but I also hope one poor performance means he’s out.

Poor performances = Very common from Melksham, he can’t read the play for s#it. 16 possessions a game from a mid is nowhere near good enough these days. Z Merrett has him covered already, wont be surprised to see him fall below a new recruit or 2 and Gleeson also.
KAV!
The Bomb goes BANG! on Melksham!
What have you got against melkman ayyyy…

Nothing, he just doesn’t play very good footy for the most part, midfielders need to be able to find the footy, something he clearly doesn’t know how to do.
Hopefully that can change, doubtful though.

KAV to date has been very average aswell, Z Merrett has blown him off the map, he better be careful before 1 of Langford, Laverde or McKenna does aswell, possibly all 3.
I hate being the negative Nancy, but guys like Kav and Melksham are holding the team back from really pressing deep into finals, maybe the recruiting was just plain wrong regarding these 2. fark I hope I’m wrong, my eyes just tell me something different though. (yes my eyes talk)
regarding Kav he has given us all a bit of hope because he seems really fit now, I hope it translates into quality possessions.

I wasn’t seriously asking you what you’ve got against Melksham, it was just a really sh|tty pun! (Read ‘milk-man’)
FWIW it’s Melksham’s career his playing for this year IMO. Trade him at the end of this year if he doesn’t gather on avg. 20 disp (40-50% contested), avg. 3-4 tackles & kick .8 - 1 goal a game. I definately rate his ceiling potential but I share your sentiments, his best is too far from & in between and he may get overtaken by some of the youngsters. Let’s see what Hird can get out of him because this time last year I was super excited about how the Melkman may come out for 2014 after a very solid 2013 he produced (post Anzac) and it was utterly disappointing but I’m not ready to jump off the melkman bandwagon just yet! C’mon MELKS!!!
Let’s just hope the selection committee reward the youngsters that are pressing, if you need to find form do it in the vfl and give a kid a chance to show what he has to offer.
In saying that I’m confident Hird will get the best out of Melky this year, massive upside when he is up and about.

I know they are fluff pieces but i thought they were about exposing the young kids to some media, the blokes that we havent seen in red or black or dont normally see, running around in the vfl. Plus it helps build memberships.

If we compare all our up and coming midfielders to Zach Merrett, they will all be a good chance of falling significantly short. That’s no slight on Melksham or Kavanagh but the reality of how good Zerrett is.
