Yep, when he became famous, and pronounced his name incorrectly, the rest of us Cahills have had to correct people ever since.

And do you think the AFL commentators are gonna give two ■■■■■ how it’s meant to be pronounced?

And Essendon players don’t get Brownlow votes either

I thought it was pronounced Fant-a-sia

the new draftees are the interesting ones to see what they bring and if they can go bang a cement a spot

having him rated elite as a mid-forward is promising - let’s see how he goes

Carl, if you are reading this thread… you’ve been told not to, so stop.

In my opinion, Carl lacks the speed required to make it as a small forward at AFL level. If you don’t have that speed it is difficult to get seperation. So you might be an average AFL footballer, but you can never make it to elite, because if they want to stop you they can.

It’s going to be interesting to see if he has sufficient agility / forward craft / tricks to cover it.

Papley doesn’t have elite speed but great craft. I’m hoping Ned is of that mould. We will also have a fair bit of speedsters in the foreword line to take the quick defenders.

You can be smarter and be extremely good at being a small fwd. Speed isn’t everything. Plus work rate.

It will be interesting competition with Mosquito for a small forward spot, should a opportunity open up.

Toby Greene isn’t lightning either.

Cahill will debut in 2020 imo he and Hibberd are both AFL fit imo (We might be forced to through injury)

Footy smarts plays a huge part in being a good small forward, R Gray, Mercuri, Green, S Johnson ect

Pretty sure I was at the game…was on a footy tour in Vic and went along with a bunch of mates from my school and some lads from Peninsula & Mentone Grammar who were also in the footy tournament. IIRC we lost by about 5 pts. I also believe it was the game where TD uttered the famous comments to a teammate who was sent back to help shore up the defense “She’s a bit busy down here mate”. Then again, I might be wrong.

Dodo done it again could be a good Raz replacement.

I was there as well Ron Andrews couldn’t play due to injury and they knew they could rough up our very young team coached by Barry Davis. Jack Miocek came on at half time and gave a bit back but it was too late. We made a big comeback in the last quarter when Davis moved Van Der Haar to full forward and Max Crow CHF a moved we’d been calling for from qtr time as Val Perovic was montering Vanda. Think Dietrich and Sidebottom got 4 to 6 weeks holiday which completely disrailed their season.

I also remember Terry Cahill kicking 2.7 against Melbourne. He was a terrific player

No that wasted against Hawthorn at Wsverly. He said it to Tim Watson

Why do we need to replace Raz? :stuck_out_tongue:

I think he sounds more like a Robbie Gray type, for efc more Devon smith than Fantasia.
