Thing that stands out to me is that he slightly out shined Xavier Taylor in the National championships. So I liked that on the bigger stage he actually played his best footy and looked quite dynamic

Agreed, noober who I respect said he was a poor kick but the highlights (and they are indeed highlights) he looked good, and in particular I liked his action.
There’s a real resemblance to Ridley, although he seems to run a lot better whereas Rids seldom gets out of third gear.

Kicking seems fine to quite good but will defer to real watchers on that. Sticky hands, confidence to play on, take it on, good wheels when he needs them, looks like he could stack on serious muscle with that frame, leadership cred. A lot to like methinks. Plus all his highlights seem to be in windy conditions so he’ll train the Hangar down. Have we considered bringing in hundreds of industrial fans for our home games?

I think this pick makes our top selections look even better. We passed on Taylor, and we’ve picked up a guy 20 picks later that looks to have fairly similar attributes. And honestly, he looks to be a better kick than Taylor, which is a bonus.
Those combine results also look quite promising - appears to be quick, and has OK endurance.
Overall, I think he looks a bit more raw than Taylor at this stage; but I think once he fills out a bit, this could be a very shrewd pickup.
