Loved his contested mark running back with the flight of the ball (in Q3?). His rise over the past two months is pretty phenomenal and his creativity is starting to shine as his confidence rises.
Said predictor is here:
(You may need to un-tick ābetting oddsā at the top to get it to load. You can re-tick it immediately afterwards.)
āTeams would be stupid not to tag Merretā
Yeah, ok Darce⦠subtleā¦
We have Parish and Merrett in the top 10 Coaches Votes Awards.
When was the last time we had 2 starting on-ballers in a top 10?
There was a year where Stanton had a ripping first third of the season, I think he and Jobe were both right up there for a while- in AFLCA and Brownlow votes too.
Too soon.
Also with reference to RTBC, had a similar conversation with my bro and my cousin and we came to the conclusion we havenāt had players dominate like this or flogged teams like this, when we really should, since the famous 2012-13 era.
I think we could be building into something really great.
Demonland
āDid we make the right choice taking Oliver over Parish?ā
I know this is a joke but I dont think they would be upset with their choice.
Both are fantastic players.
His game on the weekend was great. He is the reason they had a chance to win.
Oliver is an absolute farking brute. Reminds me a fair bit of Voss at his destructive best but heās bigger.
AFL Media article shows Dasha is equal 3rd in the Brownlow predictor.
The 3 above/ equal to him, Bont, Petracca, McLuggage and the likes of Oliver are in top teams, where there are lots of players who can and will take votes away from them.
Donāt get too excited. They is a lot to play out over 12 more rounds.
I could see Merrett taking some of his votes.
There are so many factors. Like how many wins we have for the year, form consistency, injury etc, but Zerret and Darcy are our best chances this year. They are both playing brilliantly. What if sides start tagging Darcy, for instance.
Then he rests up forward
Holy ā ā ā ā Woosha was playing 4D chess all along
4D Chess where he let the pieces move where they want to move.
Melbourne had the selection before us. They took Oliver. We then took Parish. If they took Parish we could have had Oliver. However, I am pleased we got Parish as he will last longer. Oliverās crash and bang style will wear him out before Parish is worn out.
Doesnāt matter, we still should have taken Oliver.
Oliver has been proven to be durable to dateā¦
I personally think they are both extremely talented and capable midfielders, Oliver probably gets the nod over Parish atm based on the fact heās played more consistently as a pure midfielder for longer. Parish has a stronger overall skill set that will make Parish a stronger choice in the end, but theyāre both pretty neck and neck.
Heās about tenth on that predictor.
