farking what! sigh
Why didnât you bump this when the team was named?
oh well, hobbs incoming
The messaging looks ominous
If it was just a - âweâve decided to be conservative and give him the extra weekâ - then thatâs no worries. But itâs âhamstring awareness from trainingâ so he may have aggravated
Iâm usually optimistic on most things but Iâd think he is no chance on next week and could be longer
Every time I get on to a thread, that stupid head shows up yet again spewing bile about the club
You know when the club has sucked out @Speedy_Gonzalesâs optimism, it really is end of days.
Awareness is the new knock.
Its code for 6 weeks.
Iâm usually negative about most things and this is why.
The only positive spin you can give it is that at least they put him through his paces at training and made the call rather than him ripping it during the game and us maybe ending up a man down.
yeah nah.
All sorts of tests happen before you can even train. Every step of the way.
Parish and Reid injuries would make me ask our fitness staff whether we are training at match like intensity.
If things pop the moment you hit competition after largely uninterrupted preseasons for both players then it is reasonable to assume that you are training at under the required level.
âŚWho wants to tell him Parish popped it at training?
Scott had good statistics on how much higher the percentage is to get injured in the first few weeks of the season. Supposedly Shiel got in a bit of trouble last year from Scott when he said he was fit and hardly lifted a finger and got subbed out.
Iâm not ruling out Parish has done something more serious than what the club has said but I think Scott has already covered the âif your not 100% donât raise your hand to playâ
Parish ruled out of Swans clash with hamstring âawarenessâ
Andrew Wu
Essendon midfielder Darcy Parish has been withdrawn from the Bombersâ side to play Sydney due to a persistent hamstring issue.
Parish had been named in the Donsâ selected side on Thursday night, but the call was made on Friday he would not head up north for the clash with the Swans at the SCG.
The Bombers say Parish has not re-injured the muscle or suffered a setback but has hamstring âawarenessâ. He got through the clubâs main training session on Wednesday but did not feel right on Friday morning.
âHey guys, did you know I have a hamstring?â
âThats it, youâre not going to Sydneyâ
All this talk of awareness has certainly made me more aware of my own hamstrings.
Just informed my wife Iâm ruling myself out of doing the lawns tomorrow, just doesnât feel right.
See ya Anzac Day rish.
Canât risk it.
Better chuck some ice on it. And itâd be a waste of ice if it also wasnât keeping a couple of beers cold.
âHey guys, did you know I have a ham/string cheese sandwichâ
âThatâs it, youâre not going to Sydneyâ
Well done to Parish for raising awareness about hamstring awareness.
