#3 Darcy Parish - signed to 2027

I guess as long as he’s wearing a club tie while playing we’re all sweet, right?

One thing is for sure, if he sliced it into the trees, he’d have no trouble finding the ball.

He’s probably a bit shaky when putting, I’d guess.

Absolute classic.

Parish playing golf = Parish breaking up with Dons.

I believe I began the Golf analogies in the Hobbs thread, so this pleases me.

but he would have 10+ clubs in his bag?

We’re a few weeks away from the ‘checked out’ calls to occur. A month away from ‘just happy to get his pay cheque’ calls.
We have no idea what the players are going through with their injury programs. And quite honestly we don’t need to know.
If we’re still in finals contention and can add him to our 23 with a month to go, then we’ll be in a strong position to run into the finals with a bit of momentum.

This is the content we are here for.

Getting this back on track,
question does need to be asked about who misses out when he comes back.
I think bringing him in without dropping another mid makes us a little too heavy with midfielders, so based on that either Shiel or Perkins probably gets dropped?

based on the previous 8 games, its obviously perkins, but i’d hold perkins in until parish is ready

The role Perkins is currently playing thought isnt one that suits Parish.
He is spending 75% of his game time playing that High forward role.

Was he playing with McPhees dad?

A young fella at work plays EFL. Did an ACL and watching him go through recovery and not be able to play is a nightmare. There’s far more to it than just the physical stuff.

If he’s having a hit and the medicos don’t have an issue then good for him.

Playing GOLF ??? But what will this do to his trade value ?

the make up changes when you get one of the best clearance mid on our list, and best handful in the afl.

Yeah i agree. Whats classic, was that theory

Blitz just entered its final form.

Amazing.

I don’t think it’s as simple as replacing Parish with Perkins. If Perkins is replaced it should be for Setterfield. I think Parish and Shiel will be fighting for a spot, not counting injuries. That’s why I’d bring Parish through the VFL for at least two games.

What is amazing is it’s not even its final form.

I think there is a chance Setters has already played his last AFL match.

He has the ability no doubt, but he isn’t so good that you would perpetually keep a guy on the list who will always miss at least 6 weeks of footy per season.
