It takes under a minute.

I’ve already moved on.

Yeah snipping tool in w10 is the way to go and I do that from AFL stats pro. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that at the time

We should have taken Oliver!

Well, yes. That would be too simple.

Just had the horrible thought that Parish might hold out until Merrett has made a call about his future and if Zerrett leaves Parish might be out the door too. I’m fully aware that this is panic merchant territory.

Why? Parish would be our number one midfielder then. Great opportunity for a young guy to lead the team and have a real input in any success that may be forthcoming.

Hes not going anywhere.

Parish genuinely loves the place and is best mates with Mcgrath.
Unless we offer him a terrible deal he’ll be at the bombers for the foreseeable future.

I am all but certain Parish will be staying but for argument sake in you’re scenario I would have thought the opposite would be just as plausible

If Merrett stays and is on big coin it potentially reduces the money available for him and increases the chance of him being used part time mid

If Merrett leaves theres HUGE cap space and an empty spot as a permanent mid

I think parish loves playing for a big club, even if that club is rabble.

There’s absolutely zero reason for Parish to re-sign now. Every game he plays he only increases his contract value.

Also he may want to delay signing until (hopefully) Shiel gets back on field. Caldwell too, but that seems unlikely to happen this year. After round 2 when Rutten buried him ineffectually in the forward line again I had him pencilled in as out the door to a club that recognised his worth. You’d HOPE that his last 6 weeks of footy have put paid that idiocy forever, but he’s had exceptional stretches in the midfield in previous years and then ended up out of favour again, so you couldn’t blame the bloke for being gun-shy. If we get a few back from injuries and his midfield time drops again, I reckon he’ll go. Surely in any sane club this would never even be a remote possibility, but I’ve seen enough of how EFC treat the guy to not yet be 100% confident.
