#3 - Darcy Parish thru 2029 (Part 3, from April 2025)

You can fix his body but his head is a much bigger challenge,

He’s neither elite at spreading from a contest, or getting back to defend.

In the modern game, that’s a huge issue.

Not too mention that he’s a poor kick of the ball, you watch the top teams and soon realise the skill level required at the highest level

2029….what a disaster.

There was an article recently stated he has been to the US already and is committed to the club.

Gotta back him in now with Shiel, Merrett and possibly Setters out the door.

Yeah, I feel like this is pretty much where it’s at.

I like Parish, and I think he’s a better player than a lot of folks on here like to give him credit for. Would love to see him fit and firing in 2026. Fingers crossed.

The contested ball thingy appears to be rather important in finals

Hows his swing holding up over the off season? Really looking forward to seeing how he can get his handicap down further in 2026.

I’m sure Baltimore has some nice courses.

he’s already been

Plays more golf than footy these days. And gets paid shedloads, what a life

I truly wish we’d have let Darcy go a few years back. We’re stuck with a player whose game doesn’t lend itself to modern footy and can’t stay on the park.

Lovely.

Maybe Zach leaving and our new S&C gurus will spark a revival with DP3. He’s literally been invisible these past two seasons with injuries etc. So frustrating.

Does he even want to play AFL any longer is my question. Can he ever collect the ball like he did when on song? Those numbers he used to rack up were insane tbh.

He owes us another decent season for mine .. if he gets injury free.

I think he will have a great season, on the golf course

Has anyone mentioned that Darcy Parish likes to play golf? It would be pretty funny if they did, haha.

So, a number of pelicans on this site are saying a 28 year old footballer who was All Australian in 2021, and finished equal 5th in the Brownlow the same year, is no good… NFI.

Gets his body right, Darce will be a huge asset. Getting his body right is not an if, it’s a definite!

The type of mid he is are not assets anymore, he can’t kick.

I love your confidence, hope you are right.

Key thing for me is we have this type of player already so make it maximum of 1 and focus more on outside mids

Will Innes be able to straighten his leg so he’s not a butcher inside 50?
