Massive fan of Guelfi. Enjoyed watching him develop these last several seasons.
He can be a superstar for us with a few more games and consistent opportunity.
Rapped we get to see him run around next year too.

This is the sort of kid those soft clubs like GC of FC should have been after. If we got him for a 1 year deal then there must not be much interest elsewhere.
Agree that he deserves more than 1 year.
I wonder if he is doing a McVeigh, who went on a series of 1 year deals, because he said it made him hungrier to play. There is no other good reason l can think of.

So I’m curious, but with players get double barrels all over Blitz from the weekend, how does Guelfi slip under the radar? Or is a 13 disposal, 4 tackle game sufficient?

I think everyone is just used to his average games by now and the fact that he’s probably too good looking to get dropped
I’ve never thought Guelfi was best 22. Bit disappointing he still is tbh.
That being said, I thought he was better than Heppell, Cox, Ham, and Smith as a flank/pocket option, which is not good.
4 tackles was the most of anyone on the field. He should stay in.
I’m not really a fan of him, but I thought he was OK.
And I’ve said this before, I wouldn’t hate him seeing him on ball occasionally. He contests at ground level pretty well, and his hands are pretty neat.
That was his highest possession game. Arguably one of his better games. Did a lot of genuine pressure acts (not fake stat pressure acts).

His workrate and pressure was great today. His poor disposal hurt us a couple of times, though. Overall, probably just a decent game, IMO.
