Has a dip. Skills can let him down but i don’t see him jogging around manning patches of grass.
Caracalla loved it and his start this season.
Taking his chances while Snelling/Tippa rebuild fitness.
Easily one of his best games. Was in everything and was nice he could finish off that big goal.
Liked that he learned from the early burst inside 50 that he over-complicated, second time backed himself and took the simple, first option. He needs to do that.
Defensive small forward is the best position to show off his natural attributes. Great game.
Played really well. But when he is streaming into the 50, please take the shot at goal and don’t try to pass it!
His pressure around the ball was top notch
In basketball parlance, he’s not a great box score guy. Whilst his stats typically don’t look great, he has impact in other areas, such as his pressure and ability to throw his body in there. Yesterday he was very good, got good possession numbers. The only blot was when he was running into goal in the 3rd, no more than 35m out, nobody around him, he tries to pass to Flip and overshoots the kick. Aside from that a very impressive game.
He has amazing reflexes, and throwing himself at the ball seems so natural for him. I bet he was a devil of a little kid.
This kid is the definition of blue collar.
Displays enormous heart and fight.
Earns his spot through sheer grit and determination.
Good on you Matt.
Really great game from guelfi. Nice to see him hit the score board, should have kicked two. One of the few that works equally hard in both directions and commits hard to every single contest.
Funny to hear Cara say he’s finally found his role in the post match presser because I’m pretty sure it has been clear to a few here for a while that he was best suited wing/fwd
Hopefully continues to hit the scoreboard over the next few weeks.
He fixed that up the second time round
He is one of the very few prepared to gest down and get dirty. We couldn’t have won the game without him.
Was sitting lvl 3 right above this piece of play.
The nearest Crows player was 20-25m out guarding a man.
Guelfi was thinking 1 bounce gives me an opportunity steady and take a shot from 30.
Unfortunately, as soon as he committed to the bounce, the Crows player charged at him without hesitation closing the space quickly.
Great defensive play TBH.
Ultimately, a 7-8 step steady and shot from 40-45 was the % play (WITH NO BOUNCE), but these are split second decisions.
Thought that is just extremely smart from that Adelaide player. Just like Kelly for us in another play.
Yep, its selfless team football, because he elects to leave his man who could easily get on the end of a simple lob kick.
If anyone has the timestamp, id like to see who the Crows defender was.
It was Doedee. 1:58 minute mark on Kayo
He laid a shepard and like a WW2 veteran watching Saving Private Ryan, I was instantly transported to 2000.
He’s the best smotherer in the comp and has been for several seasons. He committs to them, really leans in and gets low. Wish others would follow his lead
