#36 Michael Hartley

looks like a good player, good kick and mark, reminds me of Frawley

Distribution looks quality. May yet get to see hooker forward

Agreed on kicking, looks a good user.

Surprised he was still available. Will add to tall depth. I dont expect him to play many senior games (think brown will)but you never know.

hartley should be taller kpp cover than steinberg.

Dont think pears job will be any easier getting a game.

LOL. I forgot Pears existed.

did you see him during the woosha presentation yesty? looked dead.

LOL. Noticed that, looked like he rolled in from a week long bender.

another H…hurley,hooker,hartley,heppel,hocking…etc…

B: Hibberd Hurley Hartley
HB: Heppell Hooker Hocking (on Mark LeCras)

I keep reading this thread title thinking we somehow re-drafted Michael Hurley again.

Looks a genuine kp sized unit. Hopefully can play.

If you play in the backline, have Michael as a first name and a surname beginning with H then Essendon is the club for you!

Give him kick in duties immediately

I think this is him if you wanna follow him

Looks like the club recognised Pears is cooked, and Steinberg just isn’t big enough
Can’t see us taking Ariel as a rookie now tbh

Great value at where we got him, I think. At worst, we get tall depth.

Always room for more name’s starting with ‘H’, so welcome to the Bombers.

Hartley–no Stein))maybe Tippa?

One for those who have seen a bit of him as I haven't... He is a big unit but how well does he cover the ground?
Hopefully not like a human tree.

Hartley attended the State Combine:

20 m sprint: 3.04 (70th percentile)
Beep: 13.6 (32nd percentile)
Agility: 8.62 (43rd percentile)
Repeat Sprints: 25.36 (72nd percentile)

Not bad for a big fellow.

Yep they good numbers for an almost 200cm, and 100kg+ unit.

Importantly is the speed, need to maintain that to close down leads and get spoils in.

Really like this selection, we were fkd if Hooker got injured for defensive cover on the really big forwards.

Will be able to step straight in as an experienced mature player and seems a very good user of the footy as well.
