#37 Dylan Alwyn Clarke - at Woodville West Torrens

Delisted twice is not a great sign though. But yeah, made the most of his abilities and achieved so much more than 99% of kids who want to play footy.

I am sure the club, the AFLPA and his manager will provide the appropriate support as he transitions into a new stage of his life.

Waste of a training spot could have used it on some one like Lonie

Farken lol
Lonie isn’t VFL standard

At least we could have had a look at him and if he didn’t impress we say “ta,ta” no harm done.

Reckon people said the same thing about Snelling and he only played 1 game for Port.

Some times players need a second chance

Nino please. Lonie had plenty of chances at the Saints, and the conclusion was, he wasn’t good enough for them, and that goes double for us.

Have the Saints delisted him before and picked him up again?

Dunno and don’t care.

Fair enough :joy:

With or without Clarke our training spots were fine.

Because he wasn’t very good at football.

He certainly wasn’t an AFL level tagger.

That obviously wasnt clear at the time, he had just had his best season and been nominated for the rising star, 8th in the league for tackles and was only 20. He could have improved from there and stayed in our best 22.

It was pretty obvious.

I already wrote somewhere on Blitz that I thought West Coast’s preseason was unfolding in concerning fashion.

And then I saw West Coast play today…and Yeo, Sheed and Chesser all went off injured (it was already a long injury list)…so I think they are in deep deep deep trouble this year. Blow out losses. Possible spoon.

The look of the match was so bad, that I thought Clarke might have some value at WC this year…just to get to contests all over the ground and slow things down. WC need to slow the opposition down, just to minimise the size of their losses (Fremantle were going coast to coast today with ease).

I’m no fan of Clarke, I wanted him off our list years ago…but this is an extreme situation…it’s late February, WC’s midfield is awful, and I think they just need to find a way through this season.

Nah not spoon contenders yet, they still have Alot if AA players on that list but their premiership window close a couple years ago and the rebuild has started.

Those picks given for Kelly was a mistake at the time and will comeback to delay their rebuild

There rebuild has not started.

Their 2 most talented players under 25 are Allen and Duggan. Duggan may already be 25.

Their young talent is the worst in the AFL by a margin.

@westozziebomber will be loving this

Have been told that Dylan was at Norwood today for the practice game and was seated with the hierarchy throughout the day. Has been offered a contract by the sounds of it
