Definitely got the Patrick Cripps about him, looks similar and plays much the same.

Kicking can’t be that bad if finished top 10 in combine test. And the beep test & 3km results fantastic.

Averaged 30possessions and 8 tackles a game.

Will be a great selection IMO.

Yep. Coaches develop him up perfectly, and release him in the exact right game at the exact right time and he gets confidence from the get go and plays very well.

Play him all year, he can go toe to toe with the best mids and still win it himself. We seriously don’t have a better defensive mid than Clarke.

Here’s what I want. I want him to be told he’s in and then promptly put through guantanamo bay style psychological torment about how if he doesn’t go hard against Carlton and absolutely go a few of their players it will be the last game of football he plays in his life. I want him walking out on the field absolutely tweaking with fury ready to go Steven Segal on 7 of their players, get 40 touches (39 handballs one kick OOBOTF) and then fly kick Cripps in the head after the siren as we have to tranquilise him just to get him off the ground.

Exactly how I foretold. I did notice him staunch Cripps after the siren and had to be pulled off by Woosha and Skipworth, prob didn’t come up on screen.

To limit Cripps would have been good enough but he really hurt Carlton the other way.

Cripps was super angry/ frustrated in the end. Picked Clarke up by the legs on one occasion late in the last and tried some kinda WWE move on him. Completely broke Cripps down, plus won plenty of his own ball, clearances and laid 10 tackles. Most complete game I have seen from a second gamer ever.
