He has taken his game to another level over the last two weeks. There is just something about the way he is attacking the game. It is almost like he has decided that it is his job to pick up the club and carry it on his shoulders. Watch him closely and there is an air of determination around him that I have never really noticed before. Whether it continues or not I don’t know, but he has been impressive the last couple.

Deserved the award tonight. So clean with his ball use and he did his bit defensively too when he had to. The class always rises in the wet. Sure hands, good decision making.

I know he has been included in some trade hypotheticals with Reid, but no packet of chips talk.
I reckon that if we went through every players thread, we would find that all of them have been on that list at one time or another.

Rewind 12 months, when he was being played out of position in the back half. Scroll through his thread then, and you will see a whole blitzworth of people with short memories saying horrible things about Martin.

He took a lot of risky kicks last year and some turnovers made him look really bad.
However, I disagree that he was played out of his position: he can play anywhere.
I believe he should rotate with Merrett. We just don’t have enough outside class. Him in the middle would solve that problem.

Clearly our second best player and I think he can elevate his game a fair bit from here. Has a great attitude and is a very hard worker. I like how we are using him this year.
