I think after the last Freo game, all but the most one eyed Langford supporters thought he should have been dropped. So it didn’t surprise me when he was - despite cries of maltreatment. Potential doesn’t demand games unless you want Melksham’s. However, the fact he went back and worked on his game to such an extent - that has proven me wrong. He looks like he’s going to become a good player for us. So credit to him and the coaches as far as I’m concerned.
Skipworth almost has to be the most underrated coach, how could he survive from the Knights era until now without doing a lot right.
It has been very easy to be critical of him, but if our midfield keeps improving after being a liability, and Skipworth was the forward coach on whose watch we developed a forward line out of a previous shambles.
If we continue to improve Skippy should be getting a lot of credit.
Much maligned is Skipworth. He has fixed our forwardline and midfield in consecutive years. If any coaches need to be moved on it is the brothers corrigan.
Not trying to compare the two - more-so highlighting that Skipworth has a bit of the ‘no-name’ label about him and I think if he had Daniher or Madden as a surname it would be different - anyway I actually do want Caracella at the club too by the way.
