All I got from that article is that Kelly is as bad as Skipworth.

“IF” he signs.

I cannot help thinking this has similarities to the Teddy ‘The Bear’ Richards story.

I think after the last Freo game, all but the most one eyed Langford supporters thought he should have been dropped. So it didn’t surprise me when he was - despite cries of maltreatment. Potential doesn’t demand games unless you want Melksham’s. However, the fact he went back and worked on his game to such an extent - that has proven me wrong. He looks like he’s going to become a good player for us. So credit to him and the coaches as far as I’m concerned.

There’s a good reason for that.

Knew he would stay.

Ummm… I’ll take 3. Cheers.

Skipworth almost has to be the most underrated coach, how could he survive from the Knights era until now without doing a lot right.

It has been very easy to be critical of him, but if our midfield keeps improving after being a liability, and Skipworth was the forward coach on whose watch we developed a forward line out of a previous shambles.

If we continue to improve Skippy should be getting a lot of credit.

Off to the backline next year?

Yep, if Skipworth’s name was Blake Caracella, we’d be lauding him.

a coach thats been part of 2 premierships vs skipworth.

because we’ve paid out every head coach since then and have had to cost cut?

We have let a lot of previously well regarded assistants go in that time, not including the ones who left of their own accord.

Much maligned is Skipworth. He has fixed our forwardline and midfield in consecutive years. If any coaches need to be moved on it is the brothers corrigan.

we were in peak flight path plan period for the club.

Not trying to compare the two - more-so highlighting that Skipworth has a bit of the ‘no-name’ label about him and I think if he had Daniher or Madden as a surname it would be different - anyway I actually do want Caracella at the club too by the way.

Personaly i would put Skippy back as fowards coach and have Kelly as midfield coach then get rid of both Corrigan brothers.

Just because they’re not following what you think their instructions might be, doesn’t mean they’re not following the coaches’ instructions.

Yep. Will be a good couple of years watching him build more

Having watched the replay again Langford looks like he’s getting used to carrying his extra weight around.

Showed some nice wheels for a big guy a couple of times.

If matched up on someone of similar size he will be very difficult to keep up with. Particularly when he drifts around in the forwardline.

Haven’t been this excited about a player since Irish and Joe started showing potential.

You make a compelling and comprehensive argument.
