Yeah Caddys miss was pretty bad too, but hes played like 4 games I wouldnt be blaming him.
Langfords a senior player who is supposed to be an accurate kick at goal. Needs to be kicking them from that distance and angle.
One of his strengths was his set shots. Another player that has been Essingtoned. Pity, was hoping he’d be the first dudoro pick to hit 200 goals in our colours.
He’s still tracking towards a season of 45+ goals. It’s not like he’s regressed massively on last season. He could still hit 50 goals. He’s one of the best mid-sized forwards in the AFL.
I think something had happened with his ball drop. That shank in the last quarter he droped it really high with no control and the ball rolls over terribly. Even Jd would have winced
Don’t know what is going on but my suspicion is that hip injury is troubling him and robbing him off a bit of power and impacting his mechanics.
Don’t understand why his ball drop had gone to ■■■■ though
His accuracy last year was helped by him taking 11 shots at goal from under 15m out for a conversion of 10.1 - hasn’t kicked a single score this year from that close to goal and the majority of shots have been 40+ (including 4 that didn’t score at all)
Probably indicative of how glacial and undynamic our forward structure has been this season
He always looks likely, is crafty, always thinking and looking to take advantage and uses his body really well in ground ball contests.
He is physically assertive and definitely has an edge.
There will always be ebbs and flows … but I don’t think I have ever seen him have a howler since he moved forward. Most games even if they are on the quiet side, he manages to do something noteworthy.
I am happy with him as a lock in our forward line.
Caddy coming on will complement really well.
